Sunny Village House in Pythagorio, Samos

Hello and welcome to our sunny village house located in the heart of Pythagorio, in a quiet traditional neibourhood, steps away from the beach, just a minute walking from the byzantine Castle of Lykourgos Logothetis and with a great view of the port of Pythagorio, the best nightlife spot of Samos. Our home has fully equipped indoor spaces decorated with love, a private backyard and a terrace, so you can enjoy your summer holidays with your family or friends . Our house is located in one of the most beautiful villages of Samos, Pythagorio, where ancient greek heritage meets beautiful sandy beaches with clear blue waters, traditional products and a vibrant nightlife that welcomes people from all around the world. The house was built in the late 90's in the same site where our ancestors house used to be and it's architecture is based on traditional architecture of the dodecanese islands. As a family of engineers, we have assured that the house meets all the contemporary needs of families and friends for comfortable vacations. THE HOUSE The house is divided in 4 floors, with the three of them having access to outdoor spaces. Six people can comfortably stay and they can enjoy their holidays with privacy. -The basement Only a few stairs from the elevation of the street, the basement is an open space room that can be used either as a living room or a bedroom for three. It has three single beds (or sofas), a traditional fireplace and a private bathroom. The basement has access to the green backyard of the house, a perfect place for breakfast or dinner. If you have older children or a couple of friends joining you in your vacation, the basement can be used as a private studio for them. -The ground floor The open plan kitchen with a bar, the living room and dining room are located on the ground floor with an access to a small balcony with a view to the backyard. The kitchen is fully equipped. -The first floor The master bedroom (double bed) with the master batroom are on the first floor. The bedroom has access to a large terrace with a pergola and a great view to the street. -The attic The attic is a perfect bedroom for two, with 2 single beds, a wooden ceiling an amazing view to the port of Pythagorio. LIST OF AMENITIES • Oven, stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher • Filter coffee machine • Full set of cutlery, plates, glasses, kitchenware, pots, etc • Radio and cd player • Iron & Hairdryer • Fresh linens and towels • Essentials, soap, toiletries Guests are welcome to use every space inside the house, the backyard and the terrace, during their stay. Only a small storage room is kept lock, where we keep the supplies and cleaning equipement for the house. Sophia will be there to help you if there is anything you need. You will also find a house manual on your arrival. The house is located in the heart of Pythagorio, just a minute from the famous port which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In seconds you will find yourself walking in the paved main road of the village, where cars aren't allowed to enter from 18:00-6:00. - Restauranrts, bars The port of Pythagorio has many restaurants and bars you can choose to eat lunch, dinner or have a coffee and drink at night. Also at the same street of our house there are more than 2 restaurants and a bar. - Ancient sites around * The Church of Metamorfosis and the Castle of Lykourgos Logothetis 2 minute walking distance *Archaeologican museum of Pythagorion distance 500m (6 min by feet) *The Tunnel of Efpalinos and Panagia Spiliani Church distance 3km (10 min by car or 35 by feet) *Heraion of Samos (UNESCO World Heritage Site) distance 7km (15min by car) - Beach *The nearest beach is at the end of the road *Pythagorio Beach and Potokaki beach distance 1-2km, you can walk for 10mins to Pythagorio Beach and then continue to Potokaki beach where you can find beach bars and restaurants. You can find everything you need around Pythagorio, so you won't need a car or a bus to enjoy your holidays, but if you want to explore Samos and it's beauties, then it is prefferable that you rent a car. There are many car rental agencies on the main road of Pythagorio. You can park your car in the public parking of the village, located in the entrance of Pythagorio, just 2 minutes walking from the house SAMOS Samos is a beautiful island, well known for her natural beauty and the historical ineterest. *Nature Sandy beaches (oragnised and not), imposing mountains, rare animal species (pink flamingos, dolphins, seals), vineyards, hillside villages can be visited all year long *History Samos is the birth place of great figures of Ancient Greece, such as Pythagoras the great mathematician but also of godess Hera. Everywhere you look you can see parts of ancient greek civilization. *Cuisine Samian gastronomy is world famous especially for the Samos Muscat, but you should also taste the samian honey and olive oil *Culture Especially during summer, music, art and dance festivals are held all around the island If you love the feeling of being a local, you will enjoy your stay at our home!
