Purbeck Thatched Cottage

Character 400 year old thatched cottage within 300m from Village square, Castle three pubs and a great local store that stocks most essentials, including 300 types of Gin. Ideal for couples and great walking from the doorstep. Corfe Castle sits in the centre of the Isle of Purbeck and there is easy access to the Jurassic Cost, Poole Harbour, Beaches with Swanage and Wareham only 5 miles in each direction. The Cottage is semi detached and has a small garden to the rear. The shower room is downstairs with an additional toilet and basin upstairs, where the bedrooms are. The main bedroom is a double room and has windows to the front of the property. The second bedroom is quite small and can be arranged as a Double, Single or Twin. Let us know, which option you require. The single pulls out as a Double but with the twin option, there is little room for any storage and the second bed is only a fold down so is not ideal for an adult. There is a small kitchenette that has cooker, gas hob, full size fridge, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine next to the downstairs shower room The living room has a gas log fire. It is extremely realistic and with thatched cottages are much safer option Linen and towels are provided unless Covid 19 rules prevail, where we ask people to bring their own. It is an old cottage and as such things like doors do stick in the damp and occasionally things break. We're only next door, so if you have any problems, we're normally on hand to get things resolved. You can access the property anytime after 4.00pm on the day of arrival. There is a key safe next to the front door and the code is sent automatically prior to arrival. There is a reserved parking space in a small car park next to the doctor's surgery, with walking access just opposite the cottage or vehicle access via a turning 50m back towards the village square. The Parking permit is left in the cottage, with a map. There is a larger car park next to the reserved parking that allows all day permits from £3.50 via Just Park APP. Parking in West St is allowed in the wider parts between Oct 15th - May 1st. but normally you can unload outside the cottage without problem. We ask guests to vacate the property by 11.00am latest on the day of departure In addition to good road network, there is a very good bus service that covers the whole of the Isle of Purbeck. The steam train runs to and from Swanage and there is a cycle hire centre allowing access to all the routes and trails. There is wifi, free sat television and blu-tooth speaker.
