Our brand new Bunkhouse is a lockdown creation. On the ground floor accessible through the Festival Garden Restaurantand pin coded lock on entry. It has a central communal space with a custom breakfast bar made from larch wood from the surrounding forest. Tea and coffee facilities and comfortable seating, rustic and relaxed with quarry tile flooring perfect for muddly bikes, footwear and clothing. Lockers are available at request for all the extra personal belongings that often get misplaced. Keep them all in one place! There are 4 fully insulated rooms off the communal area all with individual pin coded locks, so no worry about losing keys! Central heating keeps the cabin rooms snug during the colder months but having been converted from a cellar to a bunkhouse it is natually cool during the summer months. Up three stone steps along a small corridor is the shared bathroom, fully tiled with 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets a large stainless pantry sink with rustic copper piping. Showers are run from a new fitted combi boiler so plenty of hot running water. The bunkhouse is at the centre of The Fork and Tune property, opening up onto the Restaurant Garden you are in the heart of the local Pub, with most weekends live entertainment indoors and outdoors, music and lots of atmosphere. Thur - Sunday we are open to the public and our very popular restaurant is the best place in the village to eat fresh so don't forget to reserve a table on booking your accommodation. Cwmcarn village is an extremely friendly place, facilities are limited with a local post office, a onestop, local school, barber but perfectly situated only a stones throw from some of the Wales best tracks at Cwmcarn Forest Drive. As many pubs have we have had to turn our car park in an outdoor dining area. But roadside parking is available, we are more than happy for bikes to be brought in and stored on site whether its in the bunkhouse, basement or garage. We are perfectly central to a number of great MTB tracks, 45mins from Bike Park Wales, an hours drive from the black mountains and forest of dean and half a mile tops from Cwmcarn forest Drive. We have a secure gated garden entrance and entrance to bunkhouse and rooms are pincoded. Just a phone call away, I live with my family on site so whatever you need whether a fresh pint from the bar after hours or directions just give me a call! No. 151 The local train station Cross Keys is a 15 minute walk away and trains run every hour straight to Cardiff. NB: Taxis to Cardiff should be booked ahead of time. You can ride your bike straight to the Cwmcarn Forest Drive trails! We are a LIVELY and FRIENDLY pub and very much involved in our community.
