Peaceful haven

Stunning 1 bed flat in the woods with amazing sea views, with direct access to the National Park. Large salt-water pool, shaded terrace and BBQ. Only a 5 minute drive to the beach and 30 minutes from Barcelona. It's a haven of peace and tranquility. Ideal for escaping the heat and noise of the city. Our salt-water pool is 12m long and has a raised platform at one end. Relax by the pool, under the pine trees enjoying the views of the sea and listening to the sound of cicadas and birdsong. The flat has an electric job, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. There is a gas BBQ just outside the flat. We have detailed recommendations of local bars, restaurants and shops. We are happy to help make your stay be a special one! The appartment is located just above the village of Cabrera de Mar. It's a picturesque village, with a lovely old church and town square. The village has all the basics: bakers, butchers, a fish shop, a café bar, a delicatessen selling local home cooked dishes. We have a detailed list of our favourite authentic tourist free places for eating out locally, beach-bars, masias specializing in char-grilled meat, the world-famous Espinaler vermouth & seafood tapas bar and much more. Carrefour, Lidl and Aldi are a 10 minute drive away. Vilassar de Mar (10 mins away) is a small town on the coast, and has lots of cafes, small local shops, bars and restaurants. The Maresme area has some of the best beaches in Catalunya. The closest beach of Cabrera de Mar is a relaxed family beach, which escapes the summer tourists. It's a large beach with room for children to run around and just a short drive up the coast are plenty of lovely beaches, such as Mataro, Arenys de Mar, Sant Pol and Playa d’Aro. This area is also popular for cycling and hiking. There are hiking and mountain biking trails, accessible from our garden. Our information pack lists places to visit in the area, including the castle of Cabrera de Mar, a water slide park, treetop adventure circuit and natural mudbaths. The Dali museum in Figueras is an easy day trip from ours. We are a 45 minute drive from Barcelona airport. The village of Cabrera de Mar is a 2 minute drive away. Parking is easy and free. The beach and train station are a 5 minute drive away. Trains to Barcelona every 10 minutes. My husband Levon and I live with our 2 teenage boys in the main house on the grounds. The appartment is in a secluded part of the garden and has it's own separate entrance and a private terrace and bbq. We respect your privacy. Guests have access to the swimming pool which is shared with the main house, but is usually empty as our teenagers rarely leave their bedrooms!
