Old Mill Accommodation-Rylstone

Stay in the centre of this charming historical village in an 1870s original stone-built flour mill with a dramatic history. Suitable for a couple or solo travellers, the apartment is centrally heated/cooled in the federation style upstairs. There is 1 spacious bedroom and a comfy lounge room with a new smart TV and access to Wifi. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently renovated. This is a unique building and an opportunity to experience the industrial history of this picturesque town. We are committed to ensuring your safety when you stay with us. The property is cleaned and disinfected after each stay according to Airbnb guidelines. We pay extra attention to door handles, handrails, light switches, window openers, TV remotes, aircon panel and keys. We also ensure that we leave a sufficient gap between each booking so as to ventilate the rooms between stays and prioritise cleaning. Please note there is a steep staircase (with a handrail) to access the bedrooms. Unfortunately we are unable to host your very young children due to the steepness of this staircase. The Old Mill also houses a gift shop downstairs which is operated by the owners. Sisters Bazaar is open between 10-3pm Friday-Sunday. The upstairs living areas including your bedroom, lounge area, kitchen, full bathroom and dining area are totally private and for your sole use and enjoyment. Take the opportunity to experience a slower pace of life and stay for a few days. Feel your pulse rate slow as you take in the glorious Milky Way at night. Spot the platypus in the Cudgegong River next to the Showground directly behind us. Your bedroom has a view towards the 1870s sandstone St Malachy's Catholic church across the street. Please note that WIFI is now available at the Old Mill. We are self-contained with a renovated kitchen and bathroom co-located with the bedroom on the first floor. The kitchen contains a fridge, full stove with oven, microwave, toaster, electric frypan, pots and pans and kitchen utensils. There is an extra toilet on the ground floor. The small stone cottage at the rear of the property is unsafe and we ask that you do not enter this building or stand near it. Our intention is to restore this building to a functional space at some stage in the future! We are on site on a fulltime basis and are also available by mobile phone. We provide a keysafe for site access. Rylstone has a historic streetscape and is a great neighbourhood to wander around. Visit local cafes and bric-a-brac shops. Take the historical town tour. Visit local wineries such as Naked Lady and De Beaurepaire and receive a very personal wine tasting experience. Visit the award-winning Rylstone Olive Press for fresh local olive oils. Twinings tea and coffee will be available for you throughout your stay. You will be a stone's throw from the local pubs and cafes so park the car out the back and explore the town! We provide 'Thankyou' hand wash and body wash. The bedroom has central heating and cooling available but we also have ceiling fans and windows that open.
