The accommodation decorated in a rustic - colonial style has three well equipped self catering cottages, which were originally old farm buildings dating from the 17th century. Each cottage is 65 metres square and are for two people, they are beautifully decorated, each cottage has one bedroom a bathroom, sitting room the kitchen has everything you need and there is private terrace with barbecue and sun loungers. The owners Alfredo and Sonia who took on this amazing project live on site with their family of dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and chickens. They have taken great care in retaining the architecture of the traditional Canarian style retaining the original walls and old wooden beams, coupled with all the modern accessories to make your holiday perfect. La Centenaria has a swimming pool, solarium, Jacuzzi and barbecue areas. There are extensive gardens where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of this rural retreat. Take in the aroma of the perfumed gardens and simply gaze on the blue Atlantic or the majestic Caldera de Taburiente . There is plenty to discover on this beautiful volcanic island of la Palma whether you are walking, driving, enjoying the climate the local cuisine or just relaxing on the beaches. La Centenaria is just 500 metres from the village of El Paso, where you will find restaurants supermarkets everything that you might need. The larger town of Los Llanos de Aridane is just 10 minutes away an historic town with delightful walks, shops, bars and restaurants. The black sand beach of Tazacorte is just 17km with local freshly caught fish on offer as well as various boat and submarine excursions. The banana plantations abound in this area and are worth visiting. The famous and attractive capital of La Palma is Santa Cruz de Palma, which is home to the thriving port and airport is just a convenient 20 minutes away. The balconies, narrow streets and window boxes with their bright colourful blooms, the church squares and ancient monuments make this a lovely town just to wander around and perhaps stop at one of the many colourful side way cafés for a drink to sit and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. La Palma is an extraordinary unspoiled place to visit from the volcanos to the pine forests, the beaches the colourful villages, towns and vibrant colours of nature.
