My 18 year old architecturally designed, spacious family home is situated on a rustic, working dairy farm. There are 5 bedrooms available. No.1 is the smallest of the 5 and the only one with no wardrobe. They are each listed separately.Can watch milking the cows or watch my horse and donkey's mow the lawn for me.I have an inside dog and cattle dog and 3 cats Also at the moment I have 2 tame lambs and a hand reared fawn Milking season is roughly July 15 to April Although there are no marked walking tracks you can safely walk through our fields (Paddocks) and into our stand of native bush.Arrive early afternoon and watch the cows being milked it or feed an apple to Ralph and Jacko the donkeys and his friend Dude the retired horse. (Milking takes place between 430 and 6 PM August to April). Beautiful Ohiwa harbour plus Ohope and Opotiki beaches are not far away if you choose to make a house a base to explore. Our well-equipped kitchen is available if you want to cook your evening meal or reheat a takeaway. (We just ask that you clear up after yourself) A perfect remote rural spot. Ideal as a stop on the way to Gisborne (SH2) or to start a trip around the beautiful remote East Coast (SH 35). The house is 3 km off the main road (SH2) and has panoramic views of the hills sculpted by New Zealand's and glacial past which can be enjoyed from the large north facing deck. An ideal spot for breakfast on a sunny day or perhaps a cup of afternoon tea. I can offer for $8.50 each a simple breakfast of cereals, toast and spreads with tea or instant coffee. You can also enjoy a glass of fresh farm milk (in season) . Every room that is in the photos is able to be used . My east side of house is private.If carport is free at the time,can be used by quests Myself or my 20 year old son will be around to help,just depends what's happening with the farm life at the time Depending on time of year other family maybe staying also Farms all around the boundary,140 hectares to walk over......if you are keen. Private car is best,public transport is 20km away. 30 mins from Whakatane,15 mins from Opotiki
