The Old Dairy. Exclusive Somerset barn conversion

A sympathetically converted luxury barn property based in Mark, a quiet village in Somerset. The Old Dairy has lots of bright open living space, large bedrooms, games/ playroom, plenty of garden space, patio and hot tub area and parking with private driveway. Perfect for families or a holiday with friends. Close to tourist attractions, great places to eat, Somerset Levels, beaches and more. You will find a well equipped barn complete with towels and bedding and some additional luxury touches. A newly converted barn offers lots of open plan living area. Perfect for enjoying time together or a chance to relax in your own space. The bedrooms are a good size and bathrooms have modern fittings. We have bi fold doors to reach the front and back gardens, making the space even larger and perfect for warm sunny days. Outdoor furniture and garden space allows you to enjoy fresh air and good weather. Our Hot Tub is included in the price and is cleaned and chlorinated before your arrival. We have a charcoal BBQ available on request. You will need to provide the charcoal. The upstairs gallery games room/ 5th bedroom is great for children and young teens to hang out in their own space and watch a DVD, play on the games console or play games together. There is plenty of driveway space for parking. Should the weather be less favourable, we have provided games and books for use during your stay or we can recommend tourist attractions to visit for all weather fun. We have a utility area with a washing machine and folding clothes airer or washing line for guests who may need it. The barn has shared driveway access leading to its own private driveway, gardens and parking . The rear gardens are private and enclosed. We have electric gates to the property with key fob access and should we not be able to greet you ourselves we will leave keys in a lock box on site. Our contact details are in our welcome book. Amy has set up a guestbook alongside the Airbnb listing of recommendations in the area for activities, eating, shopping and visits. We may be around the property regularly for hot tub maintenance and occasionally for maintenance in the garden. Mark Village is in the record books as the UK's longest village. We are based on the Causeway which is the main route through Mark. The Old Dairy is on a ex milking farm in rural Somerset. The location is well placed for day trips to a lot of Somersets famous tourist attractions including Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Clarks Village Shopping, Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Abbey and Town, Glastonbury Tor, Glastonbury Extravaganza and the world famous Glastonbury Music Festival. A short cycle or drive will allow you to reach the Somerset Levels and nature reserves. We are 5 minute drive from Burnham on Sea with its beaches, seaside town and the UK's shortest Pier. Within a 30 minute drive you can reach Taunton, Weston Super Mare, The Quantock Hills and The Mendip Hills. Our village stores and post office and local pubs are a 2 minute drive or 10 minute cycle from the property. You will need a car for sight seeing. Highbridge Train Station is our closest station and you can walk 1.5 miles to Mark or catch a taxi to our farm. We are approx 30-40 minutes from Bristol Airport. The area is mainly flat so there are plenty of options for walking and cycling in the area and once you are on the quieter roads towards the levels you will not meet too much traffic. The nearest bus routes would be Highbridge or Burnham on Sea. We are more than willing to offer recommendations for places to visit and places to eat and can help with making ticket bookings or reservations. We like to welcome our guests with a little surprise something so we may ask you if you are celebrating an importable occasion or have dietary needs - we are not being nosy ! We just want to make you stay special :) Sorry no Stag or loud party events please. We are family friendly and have to be considerate to other properties nearby. Pre booking with plenty of notice is essential. Prices available on request. Occasionally we will be at the property for maintenance such as lawn mowing, hot tub and window cleaning. We will be as discreet as possible. A cleaning service is available on request to change bedding and towels for long term stays. There is an additional charge for this and maybe obligatory depending on the length of stay. There is a travel cot, high chair, Sippy cups and plastic spoons available for baby - please bring your own Baby bedding.
