Living up to its namesake, Altura Vista (Altura meaning ‘high ground’), guests will immediately fall in love with the vast space, beauty and serenity of their surroundings. Ideally situated on a ridgeline, bordered by rolling hills of pasture, towering gum trees, wide-open spaces and home to abundant wildlife, our semi-rural lifestyle property is the perfect place to switch off, relax and indulge. Flooded with natural light and elevated to take advantage of the magical view, this treetop cottage is tastefully decorated with modern furnishings, including a fully equipped kitchen, a luxe master bedroom, and for seriously long soaks, a heated outdoor spa (4-person) with views to Mt Coo-tha. Common Area: Fire Pit – Our rustic fire pit is available for guests to enjoy. A responsible adult must be present when children 12 or under are present. BBQ area – Our BBQ pavilion includes a 4-burner BBQ, a large outdoor timber setting, string lighting and views! Extended Stay Guests who book a stay of 3+ nights will receive complimentary cheeseboard provisions to enjoy with their complimentary bottle of wine or bubbles!! We also host a second cottage on the property that can accommodate up to two guests which may be convenient to you if traveling with family or friends. Guests can access common areas which include the car park, the bbq area and the expansive, green, grassy knoll outside their cottage and also enjoy several walking tracks. We recommend not packing the good white sneakers as we have red soil!! We offer a simple self check-in process however, we do reside on the property (out of sight from the cottage) and can assist with queries or in an emergency. If arriving late, there is sensor lighting around the accommodation, carpark and at your front door. A short eight-minute drive away is our local Samford Village. The village amenities include a local shopping centre, historic pub and museum, tourist information, antique and boutique shops, award-winning restaurants, cafes, numerous outdoor dining options, spacious parkland and other general amenities for convenience. Beyond Samford, the region is dotted with picnic spots, nature walks and lookouts. Visit a micro farm, enjoy some fine dining or sample wine at a cellar door. We understand that accidents happen; it is recommended that we are notified of any situation as soon as possible. Any claim will be made through the Airbnb Resolution Centre and guests will be contacted within 24hrs of checkout. Security Camera – There is 24/7 monitoring of the access road to the cottage.
