Domaine de la Ribiere, Chambre no 8

Our chambres d'hote or rooms offer a great space for either individuals/couples or larger group events. There is a shared kitchen/diner and private terrace/garden, all set within the stunning surroundings of 80-acre Domaine de la Ribiere on the edge of the Limousin National Park. Ideal for a short break or as a base for a longer stay to explore the surrounding area including the Dordogne and La Route Richard Coeur de Lion. Dating back to 1691, Domaine de la Ribiere has long been a destination for travellers to rest and recuperate. Today we offer a range of studio gites and chambres d'hotes set around a traditional French courtyard for relaxing stays or as a base for exploring the fantastic French countryside that surrounds us. We have 80 acres of woodland filled with impressive specimen trees from around the world which attract a variety of wildlife including deer, boar and birds. Our heated swimming pool is open May to October and we have a children's play area. Enjoy a walk around our woodland or 20-acre lake or get out and about with numerous suggestions from us for what to do during your time at Domaine de la Ribiere. Domaine de la Ribiere is our family home and we reside in the farmhouse which sits adjacent to our accommodation. We will meet and greet you but you will have your own keys and are free to come and go as you wish. We offer breakfast as an option and advice/guidance on where to eat out, places to visit and things to see. We are situated in the small commune of Pageas, 5 minutes from the historic town of Chalus and 20 minutes from Limoges city and airport. There are local bus and taxi services but if you are looking to get out and explore, then a car is certainly recommended. There are regular flights into Limoges airport and car hire is available. There are also excellent cycle and walking routes surrounding us. We have secure parking on site and Domaine de la Ribiere is accessed through a gated entrance.
