Rustico Brugnasco

The Rustico Brugnasco is a former stable built from stone and turned into a cosy holiday home. It lies on the "Strada Alta" a famous hiking trail on the sunny side of the Leventina valley, that is part of the European network of long distance trails. From the Rustico you have an unrestricted view of the mountains. Both great hiking and skiing is possible in the vicinity. Airolo with its shopping facilities, post office and train station is just 10 minutes away by car. There is a free public parking space for the guests about 40 meters from the house. Upon arrival we will show you the exact location. We live just two houses away. We will be there to receive you, give you the keys and explain the house. During your stay you can always ask us for help and tips to get around. Should we be away there will be someone else in the village to receive you and help. Normally that person will be Florinda Fillippi who lives in house number 5 in Brugnasco. She also sells cheese and eggs. Brugnasco has just 22 inhabitants and is very quiet. Florinda Fillippi in house no 5 at the entrance of the village sells fresh eggs and cheese. The village is reached by car from Airolo in ten minutes. If you arrive by train Brugnasco is an hour away by foot from the train station. There is a tourist office at the train station. They can call a taxi for you and can provide you with tips on attractions and activities in the area. As special amenities in our kitchen we have a fondue caquelon and a raclette device. There is also a Nespresso machine. If you want to use it you need come with capsules. Also there is a coffee grinder and a traditional coffee brewer. Our water comes from a source and is completely free of chemicals. Hence it is perfect drinking water and you do not need to bring mineral water in bottles. Please note that we do not accept any type of pets, without exception.
