This child friendly home from home offers Bedroom 1: 2 x 3' single beds / 6' double bed; two-seater settee with TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, straighteners, iron & ironing board, Wifi. Bedroom 2: Single bed with pullout underbed (cot & 2' 6" single available), tea/coffee making facilities shares other facilities with main room. Spa bathroom; Guest Living Room; Hot Tub and Barbecue Decked Area in the booked price. During your stay I will still be working in my office which has a separate entrance next to the kitchen entrance to the house, that way there is no risk to my guests or to myself. Once I have taken a booking I can confirm that no other Bnb guests can book, therefore you will be the only guests who will be on the premises - whether it is just you or there are 7 in your party. The premises are thoroughly cleaned between departure and arrival of guests. Hand sanitisers are available throughout the property for your use and all bedding and towels are washed on the premises using the steam setting of my machine. Although all bedding and towels for use in the house or the hot tub are available, I will certainly not be offended if you wish to bring your own pillows / bedding / towels in the current situation. Highchair, safety gates, baby bath and baby changing facilities are available. Board games, jigsaws, books and children's toys available for use during your stay. As we now have the guest lounge with double bed settee together with the wetroom on the ground floor, we are now able to accommodate those with mobility issues. There are disabled aids and a stool in the wetroom for your assistance whilst resident. Accessed via the conservatory is our totally private and fully decked, hot tub and barbecue area available for exclusive use by AirBnb guests. Guests must read the rules for use of the hot and sign a declaration to say that they have read and will abide by the rules, prior to use of the hot tub. Fabulous buffet breakfast provided - range of cereals, toast, jams and spreads, butter, fresh fruit juice, Cafetiere or instant coffee, tea, sugar and milk all provided. You are also welcome to cook yourself some eggs (which are provided) for breakfast. Please feel free to bring your own bacon, sausages etc to cook as well. This is a personal home and I am very proud to say we are a Carbon Neutral household because apart from a 2-ring gas hob which is supplied by a gas bottle, we utilise 100% sustainable electric for our power supply - mostly self sufficient having our own 15 kw wind turbine and solar panels, we produce more electricity than we use, but sadly do sometimes have to buy electric in on occasion using a 100% renewable energy supplier. We now have available a family room on the ground floor with a double bed settee, which has children's toys and family games for your use while here. I also have a lovely large conservatory which guests are also welcome to enjoy. Accessed via the conservatory AirBnb guests are welcome to use our totally private and fully decked, hot tub and barbecue area (please leave the barbecue as you would like to find it), which is included in the price. While resident at Kurloon you will have exclusive use to this area. You are welcome to play your music and have a drink (using the unbreakable glassware provided) while you enjoy this area, but please respect our neighbours, so no music or loud noises later than 10.30 pm please. Guests are also welcome to use all the utensils in the kitchen if they wish to cook their own evening meal, but please leave it as you would like to find it. There are two bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom has a lovely large spa bath, toilet and sink. The downstairs bathroom is a wet room with a very good shower, toilet and sink. This is my home, but due to the current local lockdown, I will be living in my mobile home while guests are resident in my property. I am self-employed working from my office at the rear of the property so am always available. I will be here to greet you and show you around, and will be around if needed. Pilling is a lovely rural village, close to the coast (ideally situated for anyone undertaking coastal walk or cycle). Well placed for visiting the Forest of Bowland, Blackpool, Lancaster, Manchester and Preston (all within a 40-minute drive). Bowness-on-Windermere and South Lakes only 1 hour's drive. Visiting friends/relatives at Lancaster University or Myerscough College, being only 15 minutes away from both, we're ideally situated for your convenience. Nearest shop (groceries, post office, newsagent, off-licence) and Pub serving food are both within 10 minutes walk. The area is a an extremely popular area for bird watchers as we are privileged to have pink footed geese over-wintering on Pilling Sands from late September to February (ish). There are spectacular sights of both the geese at roost and flying overhead, with an estimated 8-10 thousand each year. We mustn't however forget our resident birds, Lapwing, Curlew, Hawks of several varieties as well as other birds of prey, and the list goes on .... Pilling makes a wonderful base for so much. The number 89 bus runs from Lancaster to Knott End and is 10 minutes walk from the property, although I am happy to pick you up or take you to the bus stop if required. While you're here, why not browse round Kurloon Krafts, our in-house Craft Shop with an excellent range of stock for the crafter as well as those who like to buy hand-made goods (hand-made by Sue White) - from hand-made jewellery to hand-made cards and boxes etc. Also personalised and commission goods to order. The shop is never closed to guests!!!! The house is in walking distance (10 minutes) of The Elletson Arms, which is also a Thai Restaurant, address is Lancaster Road, Pilling, Lancashire PR3 6AH. It's a lovely local pub which is newly refurbished and has gained an excellent reputation for its food and service, achieving 4 stars on Trip Advisor.
