Historic Villa Belgiojoso
The Villa’s bedrooms consist of four doubles and a room with four single beds. Each bedroom has access to a bathroom and is furnished with a closet and a dresser suitable to store any kind of luggage. The Villa is an ancient and specious house, that has been refurbished and made comfortable for modern day needs while still leaving intact the historical value and structure. All the bedrooms are on the first floor of the Villa. Each room has antique furnishing from my family. There are double and triple rooms, all equipped with a closet and dresser to easily store any type of luggage, and with access to a bathroom. As a guest, you will have access to the salon and the library. In the fireplace room you will find a great family collection with volumes that can be accessed upon request. A soft light peaks through the garden windows, making the reading room absolutely perfect to enjoy a book or spend the afternoon chitchatting over a nice cup of tea. You will, of course, be able to connect to the internet wirelessly. At your arrival you will receive your very own set of keys and we will show you around. Throughout your stay in the Villa you will be considered a guest in a home more than a client to a hotel. We will make sure to provide you with our best care and always keep an eye on your comfort level as any host would. We always have a special sense about the types of guest we have here (reserved, outgoing) and we live in a dependance attached to the Villa, so we always available for any of your needs or problems that may arise. We don’t believe in complains, but only in communication. We personally like to take care of the kitchen: breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner can be enjoyed together in an informal and friendly environment, at times schedules communally. As professional cooks both of us enjoy organizing events through the home restaurant community, as a Villa guest you will be more than welcome to join existing events or even create new ones, alongside us, upon specific request. The Villa is situated in the higher part of the town, right at the foot of the mountains, in the old city of Erba where peace and quiet are a very important part of the town’s life, and for anyone to really get in touch with the essence of the place. For the more lively ones nothing to worry about, you are still just minutes away from all the more lively areas, such as the market square, the cinema, and the brewery. You will be able to access the house by car during your check-in and check-out to simplify the transportation of the luggage into the Villa, but at all other times you will be asked to park the car just outside the Villa (less than 200 meters) in the spots we’ll show you at your arrival. Just outside the Villa you can walk around and discover all the little alleys of the antique part of the city, the Majnoni park, as well as he part of the archeological museum, and to stone streets that will take you straight to the hiking trails of Valle Bova, the Buco del Piombo or the Alpe del Vicerè. In about 15 minutes walking and 4 minutes by car you will be able to reach the train station, connecting you with two of Milano’s main train stations. Every 45 minutes you’ll be able to catch an ASF bus (linec40/d41) just a street over from the Villa connecting you to Como (20minutes) and Lecco (25minutes). If you are traveling by car you can simply cover your eyes and point in any direction as Erba is surrounded by the Prealps and the two branches of the Como Lake putting you just a few kilometers away from Canzo, Asso, Bellagio, the Pursiano and Segrino Lakes, and even Milano. Giving you the best of both worlds, on one side the natural beauties of all forests, lakes, and small towns, and n the other side the metropolitan and mundane feeling of a city such as Milano.
