Aberfan is a small village and has two local shops, as well a fish and chip shop and chinease restaurant take away (delivers locally). Local pub, social club and community centre (swimming pool and gym) are within an easy 5 minute stroll. Nearby attractions include: Taff Trail (55 miles between Cardiff Bay & Brecon), Merthyr Tydfil, Cyfartha Castle, Penyfan, Brecon Beacons National Park, Ystradfellta Falls, Pontsticil Resevoir, Talybont Resevoir, Danyrogof Caves, Brecon Mountain Railway, Castle Coch, The Big Pit National Coal Museum, Rhondda Heritage Park and Cwmcarn Forest mountain biking. On street parking and 10 minute drive to the A470. 10 minute walk to local train station. Off street parking for one car/works van, as well as on street parking available for guests. To date had no issues.
