Minutes from the river, set on 25 acres at the base of the Kahurangi National Park (neighbour to Abel Tasman NP). North facing, sunny sheltered location with mountain views looking out onto 25acres of private land right alongside the river. The Motueka River winds past the driveway, making it an easy 5 minute walk to get fishing with our complimentary fishing rods. Relax and unwind in the countryside, listen to the birds, watch the sunset, head out fishing, take yourself on one of the many nature hikes in the area, go kayaking in the Abel Tasman, explore the local mountain-biking trails, book a massage with our neighbouring therapist who provides mobile service right here on the property... There are so many recreational options both on the property and the local area, you may find you will need to come back a second time. We have a wonderful caretaker who lives up the road if an emergency presents itself, you will be provided with her number, otherwise you have the house to yourself. From time to time we have guests in the cottage across the driveway from you, however both properties are in complete privacy from each other. The cottage is available to be booked in combination with the house for larger bookings, please enquire. Total people between both houses is 10 max. The fishing cottage is in a rural setting at the base of a National Park and right beside a world renowned river. Our land is part of an operating farm block which runs sheep, from time to time you will spot Dion the farmer rounding up his sheep with his dogs. A car is vital to explore the area Every paddock you see surrounding the property fence line is our property; you are welcome to roam. Be sure to close all gates securely behind you, this is an operating farm.
