Cosy self contained cottage with views to Hadrian's Wall which lies 500 metres to the North. Cottage is next to a traditional pub/restaurant. PLEASE NOTE: AT THE MOMENT THE PUB IS ONLY OPEN FRIDAY,SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, by Easter it will be open all week. The cottage is in an excellent location for walking especially walking the Hadrian's Wall Trail. The Hadrians Wall Bus stops just around corner this runs from Easter to October Carlisle is 26 miles to the West with Newcastle 38 miles East. The cottage is within walking distance of the iconic Hadrian’s Wall. The best part of the wall runs for about 6 miles east and west of cottage. The Hadrians Wall bus stops just around the corner from the cottage. This runs from Easter to October. Small town of Haltwhistle is 30 minutes walk away. Haltwhistle is known as the Centre of Britain and boasts an outdoor swimming pool open from Easter to September. There are many circular walks nearby and also cycle trails. Vindolanda and The Roman Army Museum are a short drive away as is Housesteads which are all roman sites and well worth a visit. Carlisle is 26 miles west and Newcastle 38 miles east. There is a couple of taxi services in nearby Haltwhistle although these are often not available at school run times.
