Rooftop swimming pool - 360° view of ocean & Colombo This is a well priced affordable luxury apartment. Located on the top floor of a luxury development, there are breathtaking, unimpeded sea views from the lounge and two bedrooms. You are above all the other buildings and there are no other apartments above you. Please note that AC is offered in one of the front double twin bedrooms only. The space is modern & minimalist but at the same time super cosy. To cap it all off there is a roof-top swimming pool with views all the way down the coastline. Enjoy! Mount Lavinia is a gorgeous suburb of Colombo, known as Colombo's beach retreat it is famed for its "Golden Mile" of beaches it has long been a hot spot for tourism and nightlife. It's out from the centre of the city which is reached very easily by tuk tuk or taxi. A fantastic place to relax and unwind whilst considering the parts of Sri Lanka that you're going to visit. The Wonderful Views from the Top Floor! Yes we already mentioned it but the views along the coast towards the city centre are magnificent and can't be conveyed through photos. You can stand on the balconies or sit in the lounge and experience incredible views. It's just a fantastic space to spend a few days or even the whole of your holiday in Sri Lanka. Apartment Size, Bedrooms and How Many People can stay This a brand new space and it was literally completed three years ago, so is super modern and super fun. It is also on the top floor and is very large at 1600 sq feet. There is a large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. This has a great view of Colombo and in the distance you can see the central mountains of the hill country. There are a further two excellent sized double bedrooms with breathtaking sea views. A Modern and New Space If you're looking for an open and modern space, this is the apartment for you. There are large comfortable beds with brand new mattresses and a large comfy L shaped sofa. The kitchen is fully equipped and we have also have a washing machine and tumble dryer. The developers are a well known reputable company and this building was designed and developed according to their top tier development rating. There are two modern clean white bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own ensuite private bathroom and outside there are luxurious his and her sinks. Top Floor and No Mosquitoes !! Hallelujah. We are on the top floor. You can enjoy the gorgeous views from the balconies. The view extends all the way down the sandy coastline towards Colombo. You can watch the sun set over the ocean and also cast your gaze into the distance at the new high rise Port City being built in central Colombo. Also because we are so high up there are ZERO Mosquitoes. This is so fantastic you can't believe it. You'll have many nights of peaceful sleep and not be bitten to death, if you have children this is particularly great. Any houses below the 4th/5th floor in Sri Lanka are full of mosquitoes, there is unfortunately no escape and their sheer abundance is something worth bearing in mind when planning your trip. Take a Dip in our Rooftop Swimming Pool If you're hot, why not have a dip in the magnificent swimming pool directly above us on the floor above. It's 14 small steps to the pool! or jump in the lift. Take a swim or just enjoy the sunset. Amenities The rest of the apartment has all modern amenities, a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms with modern fittings, TV and of course Wifi. There's everything you need to spend a few weeks having an amazing relaxing time. Some more about the Location and Mount Lavinia This location itself is convenient and safe whilst also allowing you to get away from the hullabaloo of the city centre, there is 24 hour security and a power generator which is really useful during the frequent Colombo power cuts. We have 2 modern and new elevators which will whisk you quickly up to the top floor. Other points We use ant repellent plastic pucks at the kitchen edges and so we have zero ants and can leave food out on the kitchen worktops with no problems. However, if you have small infants, let me know and we will remove these before your stay, to be on the safe side. It's a really fun place to stay and I can't emphasis enough how much you'll enjoy it. The beach is a stones throw away and you can get there from the apartment in 2 mins flat. There are a host of great restaurants and bars to explore. Take a walk south down the beach and you'll arrive at the prestigious Mount Lavinia hotel, which is an old colonial hotel located on the sea front. You must have the buffet lunch here one day, amazing food and a massive selection of desserts. It's a ten minute walk to the supermarket, which is located at the end of the road. Or you can jump in a tuk tuk and be there in 2 mins. Getting to the centre of Colombo will take about 15 mins in a tuk tuk but this does depend on time and traffic which can be hectic in Colombo. If there is no traffic you can do it in 12 minutes :) We don't offer AC as a feature of the apartment. Please note that this is a very breezy and cool apartment in general. It is on the top floor and receives breezes all through the apartment when the doors are opened. It's a very pleasant place to open then doors and let the breezes glide through. Also because the apartment is so high, there are no mosquitos so leaving doors and windows open is not a problem. Please note that for check ins between 11pm and 5am there is an additional check in charge.
