Quirky cottage in the Lake District

Fabulous light and airy cottage in the centre of a quiet village. The friendly village pub is opposite so not too far for a drink and some food! Now open!! Double room with twin beds and additional mattress for kids. Sleeps 2 adults in total. If you wish to rent the whole house (a further double room) please contact me. The stairs are very steep so will not suit anyone with mobility issues. Sorry but it is not possible to bring your dogs. Would like guests to take a lateral flow test on arrival, provided by the host, if I am on the house. The living room. large kitchen/dining room. TV and Netflix, outside areas. Wifi available. I will be around during your stay, but am easy going and only ask that you are respectful of my home. I love meeting new people and am free to assist you as much or as little as you want. I am a keen walker, cyclist and Stand Up Paddle Boarder. Our local coffee shop Maes Tearoom is a 1.5 mile walk or cycle or you can drive the lovely country lanes and stop off at the small white church. We are lucky to have two pubs for food; one in the village, Emily's Black Lion, serves pub food and The Snooty Fox, in Uldale, which serves restaurant food. Both are quite excellent depending on how you are feeling and what you feel like eating. Both now open. You are in the Northern Fells, 50 metres from the edge of the Lake District National Park. You can walk or cycle out from the house. All mountains, hills and lakes are closeby and a short drive away. The coast is around 40 minutes drive to the beach. Museums and art galleries are a short drive away and I am happy to drop you off on the tourist bus route if you wish, if you timings work. I speak French and German. We have Spanish speakers in the village. Pub across the road for delicious evening meals when they open again and a great cafe for breakfast and all day food approx 1.5 miles away in Uldale, along with another pub, also with great food. No breakfast being provided right now due to Covid. You are welcome to bring your own food and use the microwave or cooker.
