Holiday at Lake Ammersee in Southern Bavaria...

In our beautiful and cosy house in the middle of a traditional and idyllic Bavarian village, it is easy to relax, enjoy life and make plans for day trips, mountain tours in the Alps, sailing, elxporing the ancient Bavarian castles and churches. On a lazy day, Lake Ammersee which is just 6 minutes away by car invites you to relax and to enjoy the impressive scenery of the Monastary Andechs on top of a hill in the east, the sailing boats on the Ammersee and the Alps in the south. Our home is very cosy and just perfect for families. Kids of all age groups will find toys and fun games to play. In one of the two kids bedrooms (& play rooms) there is even a sun room, which has been changed into a play kitchen with a small grocer's shop with a little area to sit. Your kids will love playing "restaurant" or "shopping for groceries". In the other bedroom there is even a swing & a cosy bean bag. So your kids have plenty of places to play and to chill. A DVD-player (including a collection of DVDs) and a blootooth stereo unad a swing barbecue for the fire bowl in the garden make sure that our guests have comfy moments at home - in the middle of beautiful Southern Bavaria, at the foot of the Alps. You have heard of the German word "Gemütlichkeit"? Well, that is what you will experience :-) Please feel free to use our washing mashine and our dryer. This way you can save luggage - especially for the kids. Please just feel at home! In each of the four bedrooms there is one double bed. This means that this home is perfect for two families with two kids each. The house is constructed in a Mediterranean style and is very spacious with its 170 sqm. The beautiful garden with its lavedar bed and its many lounge areas invites you to stay. By the way, the garden is designed after feng-shui... Please feel fre to use all our kitchen devices. Next to the coffee and tea machine, there is a tipping box - please put in the equivalent amount. You may also use our media devices including DVDs and CDs. All toys and games are there to be played with. Please treat our things with love and respect. Your children may also use the trampoline. A play tower with a slide is also waiting to be played with. Please make yourself feel at home on our terrace and in our garden. The barbecue is waiting for you! The parking is in front of the house. Please feel at home! And please stick to the house rules! Myelf or a person of trust will welcome you on the day of your arrival, give you instructions and show you around. After that you will have privacy. The cleaning staff will come once a week for cleaning (if requested) and for the final cleaning. Das Putzpersonal wird auf Wunsch einmal pro Woche und zur Endreinigung gegen Gebühr kommen. The holiday residence is located in Dettenhofen, an idyllic and traditional Bavarian village, just 6 km away from Diessen am Ammersee. The beautiful Lake Ammersee lies at the foot of the Alps and captivates with its breathtaking panorama of the mountains and the famous monastary Kloster Andechs. In Diessen you will find several shops and supermarkets, restaurants and cafés. In your village (Dettenhofen) you will find a very quaint restaurant with an idyllic traditional beergarden which is known not only by the locals but across the Ammersee - and not only for the delicious food. The Lake Ammersee is only 6 minutes away by car. There is also a train station in Diessen. In Diessen you will find several restaurants where you can also sit outside (please remember to make reservations). The beautiful beergardens are waiting for you. It is fun to merge into the Bavarian way of life. There is a playground at the lake just next to the sailing school and boat rental Marx. The Strandbad (public bathing place) in Utting is a great place to hang out when you love diving into the lake. There is a 10 meter jumping tower and should you get hungry or thirsty, there is a beergarden attached where they also serve barbecue food and - of course - beer. All the public bathing places (just ask for a Strandbad) line the lake and serve food. Just next to the Strandbad in Utting (14 minutes by car) you can rent SUPs - you will love standup paddling! Just next door there is a boat rental for sailing fans. For those who prefer it a little more quiet, you can rent a pedal boat or a rowing boat. The boat tours from the jetty offer a nice change for all age greoups and are perfect for exploring the surrounding villages around the Ammersee. It takes you only about an hour by car to go to the mountains. The beautiful Alps invite you to many activities! Hiking, climbing, mountain tours, toboganing, mountain huts, mountain lakes, ... Culturally, you can explore the many beautiful castles, churches and museums. Munich: If you want to go shopping in Munich or if you want to do more sightseeing in Munich - the capital of Bavaria is just 45 minutes away (by car).
