Villa Medicea XVI SEC. D.C:
The Villa Medicea of Montevettolini, a grand mansion built in the XVI century, was once one of the 12 sumptuous hunting residences of the Grand Duke Ferdinando I of Tuscany, grandson of the famous Lorenzo de' Medici 'the Magnificent'. Built on a hill of olive trees and vineyard overlooking the Val di Nievole valley, next to the medieval village of Montevettolini, the villa has retained its original architectural beauty and serenity but has also been modernise to offer a comfortable lifestyle. The house staff can help with whatever is necessary. The medieval village of Montevettolini is very small yet also extremely charming. At a ten minute drive one can access Monsummano Terme and Montecatini Terme, which offer all the comforts of a large town. The house can be easily reached by road (30 minute drive from the major airports of Florence and Pisa) and has private parking within the property. In Montecatini there is a well-connected train station. The house is fully staffed with cleaning ladies, a cook and around the clock service.
