Beach house, absolute WATERFRONT! Waikawa / Picton

Absolute WATERFRONT! Our very unique, semi self-contained, downstairs guest suite is beachfront in the picturesque Marlborough Sounds. Only 10 minutes drive from Picton where the train, bus or ferry connects you to the gateway of the South Island or North Island. Soak in the spa pool, relax on a deck with a glass of wine, use the kayaks or paddleboard or put out a fishing rod just metres from your suite. Unique location right on the waters edge in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. There are no cooking facilities in your suite, apart from a microwave oven. There is a BBQ upstairs that you are welcome to use or you can use our kitchen upstairs too, if required. We do have 96 steps down from the road so you do need to be reasonably fit and active to access the property. We live upstairs, onsite at the property, you have your own external access to the suite downstairs so don't need to come through our area. There are two lots of external stairs you can use for access. If you have a boat that you wish to bring, just let us know and we should be able to sort a mooring for you in front of your suite. You also will have access to our jetty for pick ups & drop offs together with a dinghy. To access the toilet, you either need to go through the 2nd bedroom or out along the deck into the boat shed. The shower is in between the 2 bedrooms. We do have a BBQ for use upstairs or if you did require full kitchen facilities, this can be possible too. In your suite, you do have a Microwave oven with a grill option as well. We also have a Portacot, highchair & other baby items/toys available. You can have as little or as much interaction with us as you like. We are friendly, outgoing people whose passions are sailing, diving, food, wine and enjoying life in general. Aaron owns a local marine chandlery business and Juliet is a stay at home mother to Isla (aged 2). Waikawa is 5 minutes drive (20 minutes walk) and Picton is 10 minutes drive (50 minutes walk)from our beach house. The shower, is in between the two bedrooms with lockable doors either side. The toilet is situated through the boat shed & laundry area.
