Your little paradise getaway in Paphos district! Drouseia is one of the famous agro-touristic villages in Cyprus. It is believed that it was named after the Greek word Drosia which means Cool breeze, hence hot summer days are a lot cooler up there and winter days milder despite the altitude! It is situated on a hilltop at 636 meters above sea level, within the Akamas peninsula which is well-known for its nature trails, beaches, sunsets, and unspoiled flora and fauna. Droushia is conveniently located as a start point to explore Cyprus’ west & north-west coast as well as the Paphos/Troodos forest area, by car or bike. If you are lucky you may come across some mouflons (Cyprus’ symbol, a rare species of sheep) by the cedar valley and into the Paphos forest. The whole of the Akamas area is popular with artists, photographers, wine and nature lovers, hikers and bikers, bird-watchers and of course sea lovers! The nearest beach in Latsi area is only 10 km away to the north, less than a kilometer further, the marina and picturesque fishing harbor with its nice fish tavernas. Polis town where one can find all amenities is again 10 km away. To the west and just under 12 km one can enjoy the clear waters of the famous turtle beach “Lara” (partly a dirt road, yet an easy-ride). There are a few wineries near-by and plenty of local restaurants/taverns, in village centers or in the surrounding vineyards. Also, a nice location for hiking called the “Kary” rock. Free parking on own driveway. Public bus transport is available to Polis and Paphos town. A rental car is however recommended. Mini cruises available to secluded beaches from Latsi marina. There's no fence around the pool.
