Rural oasis in the centre of town. Two minutes walk to train station. Private parking. Large bedroom with king size bed and optional double sofa bed OR single z-bed, en suite shower room. Detached, main door access. No cooking facilities. Two minutes walk to the High Street with great dining options. Professionally cleaned, wifi, nespresso, mini fridge, kettle. Bed linen and towels included. Great for star gazing, bat spotting and welly wearing. Great too for commuting to Scotland's cities. Detached, newly built, rural aspect, plenty of parking, 2 minutes from train station and 2 minutes from the High Street, which has a range of eating and drinking options. King size bed and option of double sofa bed or folding single bed. Sofa (if not bed!), chest of drawers, hanging space, 2 chairs and TV. Perfect for singles, couples and small families. Cot available on request. This is one large open plan bedroom / sitting room with an en suite shower, basin and loo. Please see photos. There are outdoor wooden stairs to the front door. Linlithgow is a beautiful town full of heritage and outdoor activities, including Linlithgow Palace and surrounding loch, galleries, museum, canal and country park. It's well worth a weekend visit but also perfect for commuters travelling anywhere within the central belt, by road or train. The studio is a little oasis of rural isolation, there's plenty of small wildlife. Other than in the height of Summer the short but steep track from the road can be dark and some areas are muddy. We love it as it offers the best of town and country living, but it might not suit high heel wearers! The studio has a lawn with picnic table and bench directly outside. Please see photos. Entirely self contained, detached and opposite owners house. Guests have private main door access to the property and parking for 2 cars, immediately behind the studio. Flexible, safe and self check-in / check-out can be happily arranged as we live on site. Luggage drop off and leave is possible. There is a height restricted canal bridge to drive under - 7 feet. Nothing taller will get through! Please see photo. At the bottom of the track is Back Station Road, and the train station. Very light sleepers, with windows open, may be able to hear the trains. It is subtle and it doesn't bother us (we are slightly closer) but something to be aware of. The purpose built studio is above our garage and occasionally you may hear us opening the garage door. We keep this to a minimum. We live directly opposite the studio, and we are located on a private road, with no passing traffic. Guests can be met on arrival whenever possible and self check-in can also be arranged. We are on hand if you need anything. There are children, dogs, cats, hens, occasional sheep and bee hives in close proximity so sadly we do not allow any pets in the studio. Quiet, great access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. All amenities are within walking distance and of good quality. Animals on site. Property accessed under canal so restricted height access, please see photos. Great for fans of Outlander! Local tours available. You couldn't be better located for Linlithgow Train station, which has regular trains to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. Within 10 minutes drive you can also be on the M8, M9 and on the Forth Road Bridge. It's a 20 minute drive to Edinburgh airport, 40 mins at rush hour. The studio is an ideal rural retreat for anyone visiting the Edinburgh Festivals, Edinburgh and Glasgow Christmas markets, Murrayfield or Falkirk Stadiums for concerts, the Six Nations Rugby Championships, and of course Linlithgow's cultural offerings of the Folk Festival, Party at the Palace, Marches, Historic Scotland's Spectacular Jousting and several other not to be missed events. Local tours and taxis can be organised by contacting Mike Moore at Bonnie Voyage Transportation on + (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) or by emailing (Email hidden by Airbnb) On arangement we can help with laundry, lend an iron and ironing board. These are in our own home and can be brought to you. We take reasonable laundry to our domestic machines, in our home, and bring it back when done. There is no extra charge for this. There is a large plug in floor fan for hot days and a radiator and underfloor bathroom heating for winter days. All vehicles must be parked up and behind the studio where there is ample space. There is no parking other than behind the studio. Although there are no cooking facilities there is a silent mini-fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Towels are supplied. Let us know if you require a change of towels. Please ask if there's anything particular or special you would like that we haven't listed. 2 night minimum stay, discount for 7 nights and month.
