Large, 4.5 rooms, sunny apartment in the Alps

Very spacious, newly furnished apartment centrally located in the breathtaking vacation area of Switzerland, Graubünden; close to Lenzerheide, Savognin, Davos. Ski, hike, bike, walk or work and enjoy the scenery. Easy to reach by public transportation or car. Reserved parking is in front of the house. The kids/baby friendly apartment is in a quiet building in a small and quiet village. Comfortable for families, group of friends, remote workers; internet, working desks are available. Albula/Alvra (new name for Tiefencastel) is an idyllic mountain village with a very attractive scenery. It is small and quiet, still very central; an ideal place for a quality vacation all year round. It is within easy reach of the skiing and biking areas Savognin, Arosa-Lenzerheide (10 minutes) and Davos (30 minutes). Golf courses in Lenzerheide and Alvaneu are within 5-10 minutes. St. Moritz and Zernez National Park is about one hour. Thanks to its convenient location, you will be able to enjoy all sorts of vacation activities very easily. Skiing, hiking, biking, cross-country to name a few. Or combine pleasure with work: use it as a home office if you are a remote worker. The village lies on the side of a main road, you can get there comfortable by car, train or bus even in heavy winter circumstances. The apartment is very comfortable for a family as well as a group of friends. It is large, 88 m2, 4 rooms with bed/sofa bed can be separated from the common areas (dining room, kitchen, bath) by door to allow privacy. It is very bright, sunny all day long, the two balconies (one large at the front, one small at the back) and the windows give you a very nice view to the mountains in all rooms. The bathroom comes with bathtub, WC is in a separate room. The apartment is very well furbished; you will probably find everything you need for your stay. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, some basic food amenities are available: coffee, tea, salt, sugar, cooking oil, spices, etc. Towels, bed linen, kitchen towels are also available. Reserved parking space is in front of the house, private garage is available upon request. For a second car public parking space is available just a few steps away. The 4 1/2 room apartment is located on the second floor of a quiet building housing 7 apartments. Check-in any time, even at night. There is a keybox at the door, I will send you the code to the box to your phone number in Airbnb. Please, make sure that your phone number in AirBnB is up-to-date. For questions/problems I am available by mail/phone and the caretaker of the apartment lives close-by. The picturesque village is very quiet, it's central location makes it an excellent starting point to many nice points of interest in the area. Easy to reach by public transportation or car. There are two hotels, one with a good restaurant to let you enjoy local (fondue, raclette) as well as international food. The bakery awaits you with fresh, authentic Swiss breads and pastries daily (closed on Sundays). The small shop at the tank station supplies you comfortable with everything for your daily need. You will find large stores and special shops within 10 km, in Thusis: general stores: Migros, Coop, Aldi, Lidl and special stores: book stores, optician, sporting goods, etc. In Savognin: general stores, sporting goods. You can also rent there all sorts of sport equipments: skis, snowboards, sledges, mountain bikes, mountain carts, scooters and accessoires. In many villages in the area you will find a general store (Spar, Volg) if you are under way. In Savognin and Lenzerheide, you find both of them. There is a Coop in the nice village Filisur, 10km North, after leaving the bad and golf course of Alvaneu. I got the feedback from my guests that in Filisur, the Restaurant (Hotel) Grischuna direct at the train station is very good with reasonable prices; the Sylvester menu was a “culinary dream”. There are two hospitals close by: in Thusis and Savognin. The village lies on the crossing of main roads and on the line of the Rhaetian Railway, marked by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. It is easy to get there by car as well as public transportation. For train access take the train from Zurich to Chur (1 hour 15 minutes), and from there to Tiefencastel (45 minutes). The apartment is a 10 minute walk from the train station. The roads from Tiefencastel go to Savognin (9 km), Lenzerheide (10 km), Davos (32 km) , St. Moritz (48 km). The ski areas Savognin and Lenzerheide are both 10 minutes away by car on good roads; it is also easy to get to them by bus. Two working desks, a computer screen and a laser printer are available for efficient (remote) work. Electrical plug adapters for European standard are available in the apartment. Unlimited internet is supplied with a WIFI mobile device that allows wireless connection for up to 10 devices. The internet connection is fast, 4G. It serves home office and remote working very well. There is a TV set with many satellite channels and a Chromecast device for streaming. There is also a HDMI cable for connecting the TV to a computer.
