Leon Morto Bed & Breakfast

Set in Coreglia Antelminelli one of the most beautiful villages in Italy according to “I Borghi piu belli d’Italia”. We offer accommodation at an old farm which has been gently renovated to preserve the old rustic style but with modern amenities such as air conditioning, internet and smart devices in each room. You will have access to a garden with a relax-pool and deck chairs. We are also in the progress of building an outdoor kitchen with an under roof terrace. Leon Morto is an old farm where the main building dates from 1718. The area is typically Tuscan with mountains and a beautiful village . For years we have renovated the rooms to keep the old original style, but we still make sure that there are modernity’s such as air conditioning etc. Around the farm there is a lot of open terraced land, but there is also some parts with bushes and trees. We have tried to keep as much of the old structure as possible. At breakfast we serve home baked bread, home made marmalades, freshly squeezed juice along with coffee, tea and everything else that makes life good. Leon Morto Bed & Breakfast is perfectly located for day trips around the Garfagnana area where you can try a lot of outdoor activities such as rafting, trekking or visit famous spots as the Ponte della Maddalena, Isola Santa among other fantastic places to visit. We are located about 60 km from the sea and beaches, 21 km from Abetone , 34 km from the city of Lucca and 54 km from Pisa which has the nearest airport. Children are welcome, but it is important for parents to keep an eye on their children as the windows in the rooms are low and quite high up. The land is terraced, so small children must be kept under guard. On the ground floor you have access to a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The upper floor have three bedrooms and a bathroom also with a shower. The kitchen is used for serving breakfast to our guests. Outside spaces, patios, garden and land are free for our guests. There is a collapsed barn on the land which will be rebuilt in the future. It is important that you don't go near the barn because of the risk of falling stones or other material. We have marked the area well. We will be available on site. Leon Morto is located within walking distans of the beautiful village Coreglia Antelminelli where there are some small grocery stores, bars and restaurants. There are also some very old churches and a museum with plaster figures. Easiest way is traveling by car, but there is also a bus which also can take you to the train station. We do also have two electric scooters for rent that will take you approximately 100km. We also have four electrical bikes (Rawbike) for rent as well. A walk to the village is between 400 meters to 900 meters depending which way you choose. There are also several roads where you can go for a walk and enjoy the fantastic souroundings. The eight bed is an extra bed which will be placed in the single bedroom. We have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
