A smart and spacious home in Constantine Bay, close to Trevose Golf Club, and a short walk to the beach and the Pig Hotel. Sleeping up to 13 in 7 bedrooms, the house is perfect for large groups yet cosy and warm for small getaways. A mix of contemporary style and family comfort. New wood burning stove for cosy evenings. Unlimited WiFi and smart tv. We have an extensive range of baby and toddler gear, including travel cots, seats and toys and there is a trampoline in the garden. The house has two separate sitting areas which are perfect for larger groups. There is a lovely upstairs sitting room with sea views, new comfortable sofas, a wood burner and games table. The conservatory off the kitchen is a sun-trap and great for afternoon siestas and as a second sitting room. The master bedroom downstairs has a large en-suite with bath and shower. The annexe bedroom with its own staircase is perfect for a couple or grandparents who want a more peaceful room and there are two other large bedrooms with superking size beds as well as double, twin and single rooms. Full access to all the property. I am very happy to answer any questions by phone or email. At the base of Trevose Head, Constantine Bay provides excellent facilities – a championship golf course, great shops, and some of the best beaches in Cornwall. The Beaches: Constantine Bay, Boobys Bay and Harlyn all within walking distance and Harlyn now has a Beach box cafe with great food all year. Crabbing, shrimp net fishing, rock pool exploring and building sand castles – there are hours of fun to be had here. At the head of the beach, you will often find a few stalls in peak season – a delicious expresso coffee stall, jewellery laid out for browsers and the ice cream van. Constantine and Harlyn are great surfing beaches – picking up as much swell as any beach in Cornwall. There are ‘rip’ currents, so be careful and follow the instructions of the life guards and respect the bathing flags. Surfing, Stand up Paddleboarding and Coasteering: Lessons and rentals can all be arranged with local surf schools. Restaurants: As well as Rick Stein and his many restaurants, we now have Jamie Oliver, Paul Ainsworth and Nathan Outlaw. Below are some of the best gourmet restaurants as well as pubs and cafes that make an effort with their food and the newly opened Pig Hotel is less than a mile away. St Merryn: For more formal dining try Rafferty’s with a large cafe/restaurant. The Cornish Arms just outside St Merryn towards Padstow has been taken over by Rick Stein and is a good local pub with food. Often busy. Padstow: At the top of the tree is The Seafood Restaurant. Fantastic food, fantastic ambiance – still a very special place for a special meal out. St Petroc’s and Rick Stein’s cafe give other dining options with quality food and service. Paul Ainsworth’s No 6 is superb. For more casual dining, Rick Stein’s fish and chips or Rojano’s. Newquay: Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen provides a dramatic environment and high quality food at Watergate Bay. Walks: There are great walks in this area – with the North Cornwall Coast Path snaking around high headlands and beautiful beaches. Whether you have your dogs with you, have all the hiking kit, or prefer a casual stroll in your flip flops – there are plenty of options. The Cornwall in Focus website details each section of the Coastpath. The 56 bus, which stops outside Constantine bay stores, a 2 minute walk from the house, runs from Padstow to Newquay – past most of the beaches and also the Airport and allows dogs. The other main route of interest is the 75, Padstow to Wadebridge/Bodmin. This goes to the train station at Bodmin Parkway. The large garden has a trampoline, sun loungers, Weber BBQ and a table for 16. The private patio at the rear is now fenced off to give a secure area for dogs.
