Absolute river frontage, the river house is an elevated cottage with stunning outlook over Macdonald River and mountains. There is parking for 3 vehicles at the property. From the front of the property, stairs lead down to the front courtyard, verandah and entrance. On the main level, there is an open living space with views out over the half acre property, the river and mountains. The living space has vaulted ceilings, skylights, ceiling fans and split system air-conditioning, as well as slow combustion fireplace (ample firewood available). The kitchen has a new oven, cooktop, rangehood and coffee machine, with an oversized island bench. It is well appointed with tableware, cutlery, utensils and cookware. The 8-seater dining table looks over the balcony which features 4 burner gas bbq. The living area has a large modular lounge and a smart TV supported by satellite NBN. This main level also has a bedroom with a queen size bed and a bathroom. Downstairs there are two more bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with a double bed and triple bunk. The downstairs bathroom features twin basins and a bath. There is a lower balcony also. The backyard features an oversized deck with 8-seater outdoor setting and a large tilting shade umbrella. The large grassed yard extends down to the banks of the MacDonald River. There is a firepit located near the riverside and a small jetty. There is ample firewood on the property. Nearby...notes below (see visitor’s guidebook for photos and more detail). 10 minutes to Wisemans Ferry (via ferry) - historic town, views - facilities include boat ramp, cafe/restaurant/lolly shop, pub/beer garden, convenience store, chemist, bowling club, service station. 10 minutes to St Albans - historic township/pub/beer garden/live music over lunch. 5 minutes to Historic / UNESCO World Heritage listed Old Great North Road and Devines Hill Loop (28km walk). Surrounds - St Albans Commons, Mogo Creek, Bucketty, Laguna, Wollombi. There is parking space for 3 vehicles at the front of the property. Take care when exiting or entering the property as the road is narrow. If you need supplies, it is most convenient to go to Wisemans Ferry. It is a 5 minute drive back to the car ferry - it runs 24/7 and is free of charge. Once off the ferry it is a 2 minute drive to all the amenities of the town. This secluded riverside hamlet feels a world away from it all, but in reality is just 10 minutes from the historical settlement of Wiseman’s Ferry and an hour from Dural in Sydney’s north. There is space for 3 vehicles to park at the front of the property. The car ferry is free and operates 24/7. The house is situated in a quiet village setting. This property is best suited to families or friends wanting to get away, enjoy the river and relax. Loud parties, schoolies, bucks and hens events are not allowed. We ask that visitors minimise noise after 10pm to respect locals.
