A a beautiful, modern, split-level barn conversion in the idyllic Derbyshire countryside situated in the Amber Valley, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Situated in a small hamlet of five houses just outside Milltown, down a semi-private country lane and with leisurely walks or tougher hikes from the door. It is a perfect place for a real break. The property is split-level, with, on the upper floor a galleried bedroom with Kingsize double bed and very comfortable sitting room with a large sofa and tv area. At entry level, the hallway, via a stable-type door, has wooden flooring with plenty of storage, then down a couple of stairs is a striking dining-kitchen with another lovely comfy sofa and a bright brand new bathroom with shower over the bath. Please note a two night minimum stay is required. One night will not be accepted. minimum rental two nights The Miners Arms at Milltown is the closest pub (where reservations are advised) and serves hearty, good plain food .There are a number of other great pubs in both Ashover and close-by. There are farm shops too for locally grown food , a Dominos , for pizza and a couple of really good restaurants serving Indian food in Matlock and Matlock Bath , as well as an excellent Thai restaurant in Matlock. There is no shortage of stunning walks ,some can be done from the door . There’s masses of open space in which to really relax in this very special and relatively unknown beautiful area . Your only neighbours will be the horses. The Pool House is less than 30 minutes from Derby, 40 from Nottingham and Sheffield and close to Matlock, Chesterfield with its twisted spire, and Bakewell.
