The bougainVILLA is an ideal sanctuary for travellers seeking space & tranquility in a central & safe location. The private cottage is set in our tropical gardens, it is 100 m2 in size and comprised of an air-conditioned bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub, a public bathroom with shower, spacious living & working area and a fully equipped kitchenette. Long stays are welcome! Fully serviced. Our location is 5 min away from the airport, 2 min from the shops and 10 min from Stone Town. Our property is a spacious house, comprised of our home and the attached guest cottage with private entrance. We have electrical fencing and emergency response buttons are installed in all bedrooms. We live on the property and your host Iddy lives close by and is available in case you need assistance. We love the fresh produce Zanzibar has to offer all year round and we love cooking :)! Iddy offers a shopping service and cooking service. The cottage has a patio out front and out the back and access to our lush garden. If we are around, we are happy to assist with Zanzibar hacks. We have both been living on the island for many years and know the island well. Mbweni is a safe and friendly residential area set between the international airport and Stone Town. The walk to the shops takes only a few minutes and leads you along a local football ground. The ocean and the famous Mbweni Ruins are about 10 minutes walk in the other direction. Taxis can be easily called off the main road (Matrekta Road) or your host is happy to arrange for a pick up at the house. We have three cats - Sushi, Toothless & Lynx - who basically own the place. So if you have a cat allergy, that might be an issue.
