Pitman Room @ Forthay Bed and Breakfast
We are open from July 4th, with our new increased cleaning and social distancing protocols in place. We use an extensive cleaning routine ensuring all high touch surfaces have been fully sanitised. Forthay is a 17th Century farmhouse in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) on The Cotswold Way. The property is surrounded by stunning farm and countryside views, overlooked by Tyndale Monument. The perfect stay for walkers, dog lovers or simply exploring the Cotswolds. The Pitman bedroom has a kingsize sleigh bed, Egyptian cotton bedding, goose feather and down duvet and pillows( non allergenic available on request), large fluffy towels and bath robes, powerful hairdryer, Roberts DAB radio, complimentary water and a selection of teas and coffee with cafetière, luggage racks, luxury Noble Isle toiletries and free Wi-fi. The luxury en suite shower room has a walk in copper power shower, vanity sink, lavatory, heated towel rail, shaving point and large mirror. Guests share an entrance, boot room, snug with log burner and breakfast room You will receive a warm and friendly welcome when visiting Forthay, enjoy a slice of cake and a pot of tea in the guest’s cosy snug or in your room on arrival. Forthay is ideally situated for visiting; Cotswold Way for walks – on the door step Tyndale monument – 15 minute walk Golf course & fly fishing - 5 minute drive Clay pidgeon & horse riding - 10 minute drive Sailing - 20 minute drive Wotton Under Edge, Dursley & Berkeley Castle - 10 min drive Westonbirt, Tetbury, Highgrove & Slimbridge Wetland - 15 minute drive Badminton & Gatcombe Park – 20 minute drive Cirencester – 25 drive Cheltenham & Bristol - 40 minute drive There are buses but accessibility by car is recommended We are very dog friendly, providing dog beds, dog bowls and heated dog showers, just the ticket after a long walk in the surrounding Cotswold Countryside. We provide complimentary pick up and drop off for walkers completing the Cotswold Way to Dursley and Wotton-under-Edge. Enjoy a glass of wine, a pint of locally brewed beer or cider, or a gin and tonic from our licence bar. Breakfast is not included but can a full English breakfast can be ordered for £10 per person when you arrive at Forthay. Two course Evening meals are available for £15 with 24 hours notice, due to Covid-19. Breakfast and evening meals are table service, minimising social contact. Debs and Charles live on site, and are available to assist guests throughout their stay, organising taxis, restaurant bookings and days out. We have 2 dog friendly pubs that serve food walking distance from the bed and breakfast
