Forest Gardens Getaway - A Nature Retreat

FOREST GARDENS GETAWAY is a small Bed & Breakfast located on the edge of the Ottawa National Forest. We're close to Bond Falls, Black River Harbor, and the Porcupine Mountains State Park. Enjoy a full day exploring all of the beauty of the western UP and then return to the house to enjoy the peace of nature in the large screened-in gazebo, drink in hand! We're available to you as much as you would like, but always respect your privacy. We start your day with a hearty breakfast. This large room has a queen size bed. There is also a TV and small refrigerator. Your large private bathroom is located immediately outside the bedroom door. Robes are provided. Forest Gardens Getaway sits on 22 acres surrounded by the Ottawa National Forest. We have walking trails all around the property for your use. During the summer months, you’re welcome to use our kayaks, canoe, and paddle board. All of our guests are encouraged to relax in our living room. There’s always a fire in the fireplace on the cold, snowy evenings. In the summer, enjoy the large screened-in octagon porch or sit out on the deck. Both overlook Twist Lake with all of the different species of waterfowl. There are three beaver houses on the lake so you’ll see them busy at work! The otters often play in the lake and it’s not at all uncommon to see all kinds of wildlife like fox, deer, bear, etc. It’s a nature-lover’s paradise! We enjoy getting to know our guests and are always available for drinks and conversation. However, we also respect your privacy. You can just let us know if you would like to visit.
