Shepherd's Hut (Granny's Hut), with open views ..

Scottish Shepherd's hut, set in the garden of new build, with views across the open countryside. There is electricity in the hut, which allows for an oil filled radiator, microwave, small cold water sink, kettle and toaster. There is a compost toilet adjoining the hut. You can walk and cycle from the door into beautiful rolling hills and forest tracks. Further afield there is more to explore. The room can be set up as 2 x single beds or 1 x double. The hut is 2 miles from Thornhill The hut is within the garden of our house, which is at the end of a lane, it looks onto the house, but we will close the blind when we have guests. We are situated about 3 km out of Thornhill on rural roads. The hut looks onto fields and gently rolling hills, and you can find good walking straight from the hut. if you are a keen walker, Thornhill is a 30 minute walk, where there are two small supermarkets, chemist, cafes and fish and chip shop, as well as bus routes to Sanqhuar and Kilmarnock, and south to Dumfries. A car would be needed to explore the many rural roads and walks.
