Beautiful Glamping Tent overlooking Ynyslas Dunes

Welcome to our beautiful Touareg tent on our peaceful smallholding on the West Wales coast! Our spacious canvas tent features a double bed, double futon, and a seating area with books and games. The tent boasts fantastic views across Ynyslas dunes, and the Dyfi Valley. This is a private pitch with your own exclusive facilities and firepit with sunset view **Please note we can't host children under 12 years** We are a working smallholding, so you will see chickens, ducks, sheep and pigs on site. This is the only pitch on our site, assuring you privacy plus the exclusive use of the composting toilet, battery-powered shower, and kitchen shed, which has a sink, gas hob, and cool box. Your Touareg tent is kitted out with a very comfortable double bed with sprung mattress, bedding and towels, double futon sofa, additional seating, and a coffee table with a shelf stocked with games, books, magazines, and a solar-powered USB phone/ tablet charger (which requires direct sunlight!). There is also a set of Petanque for you to use on the mowed grass area by the fire pit. You have private use of our large fire pit with chainsaw-carved wooden seating area where you can enjoy stunning views of the sunset over Ynyslas sand dunes. BBQs are allowed in the firepit area, and we also have a kettle BBQ with coals and tools available for hire. Our site is peaceful, private, eco-conscious, and a great place to spend time with your favourite people! The site is also mostly off grid - we only have mains water to the kitchen only - and no electricity. If you need to charge phones etc, this can be arranged directly with me. We sell eggs, seasonal fruit and veg, preserves and cakes from our honesty box at the front of the property, plus you can also buy our own free-range British Saddleback pork burgers, sausages, and chops directly from us. Hot and cold breakfasts for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegans are available at a supplement - please message me to book. **Please note: We regret that we cannot host children under the age of 12 due to hazards on the site** Our site is only minutes away from the sandy beaches of Ynyslas and Borth. The villages of Borth and Tre-r Ddol, where there are a selection of local shops and pubs, are also a short distance away. We are a 20-30 minute drive from the larger towns of Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. Our site borders the Cors Fochno nature reserve and UNESCO site, which is an area of unique natural beauty and home to a range of wildlife. On other areas of our property, we have nesting barn owls and kestrels, and you may see these birds flying around during the daytime and evening. You may also see stoat, otters, and other small mammals from across the fields. We keep a pair of binoculars and wildlife identification books in the tent for your use. We have a designated parking space, but we allow drop-off of luggage at the tent, weather-permitting. If you want to leave the car at home, Borth train station is just a short distance away. We can arrange pick up from Borth station at a supplement, although we regret that we cannot transport bikes. We are onsite, so can help guests either in person or by mobile phone Our site is a short drive from the nearby villages of Borth and Tre'r Ddol. The bigger towns of Machynlleth and Ynyslas are a 20-30 minute drive away. West wales is a haven for walkers and cyclists, and Borth is on the path of two excellent hiking routes - the Wales Coastal path, and the Borth-Strata Florida long-distance walk.
