Bright & Stylish Cottage in Adelaide CBD
A rare original 2-bedroom cottage built in 1880, then renovated to reflect a modern sensibility, our house is the perfect balance of old & new. Lofty ceilings, glass doors add space & light. We're Adelaidians who love to share our beloved city with the rest of the world! Polished wood floors cover the entirety of the house, leading into the sunny bedrooms, which feature a queen-size bed and full-size bed, respectively. After a day of exploring the city, spoil yourself with the immaculate standing glass shower in the tiled bathroom. A fully furnished living area offers a sleek space to put your feet up. Additional guests can stretch out on the full-size sofa bed. Have a glass of wine and a conversation with the cook at the breakfast bar in the contemporary kitchen. Street parking can be found on Carrington Street, about 70 metres away from the house. Within walking distance to the free city loop bus stop on Hutt Street. We (Luan and Wendy) live nearby, so we're close if you need us. But the space is all yours! Don't sacrifice a great location for a gorgeous rental: here, you can have both. Close to the beach, wineries and walking distance to the trendy surrounding neighbourhoods, the cultural hub of Adelaide is at your doorstep. Explore the city with free bicycles and free bus services, and pay nothing to park at home. A short stroll places you at the Central Market and Chinatown, where you can pick up fresh veggies, or try a high-end restaurant on Hutt St, which is just behind the house! A 5 minute walk will have you at Rundle St and Rundle Mall for all your fashion needs. There you can also visit more trendy bars and restaurants. Spend an indulgent afternoon lounging on Henley Beach, or getting tipsy at one of the nearby wineries, both as close as 15 minutes away. Feeling adventurous? Try surfing, or hit the Mawson trail, the longest bike trail in the southern hemisphere, which runs from the coast of Adelaide to the rocky hills of Blinman, to make an epic memory during your vacation. In a city known for its festivals, there's a good chance you can catch one while you're in town! Some of the most renowned are The Fringe Festival, WOMADelaide, Festival of Arts, OzAsia, and Writers Week. There are also sporting events galore with The Tour Down Under, Clipsal 500, Aussie rules Football, and cricket. There are also countless food and wine festivals, or you can explore the local cuisine tucked into the southeast corner of the city. Come find out why Adelaide is called the heart of South Australia! Adelaide city is easy to get around by foot, but if you don't feel like walking, on Hutt St you can find public buses, including a free city loop bus, free bike hike, and a taxi rank nearby. Our home can accommodate up to six guests, with two supportive beds, one room with a queen-sized bed and another with a double bed, and sofa which converts into a double bed in the living area.
