Quirky luxurious cottage short walk to beach

Hatherley is a light-filled Edwardian cottage in a pretty village on the edge of the glorious sheltered coves of the Helford river, 15 mins walk to a sandy beach and moments from fabulous Falmouth and Cornwall’s best tropical gardens. Built for a ship’s captain away at sea it has big bay windows in the living room and kitchen. Rumour has it the builders only showed him pictures of the front, because the back... isn’t quite there! It is a quirky tardis with no straight lines. You’ll love it! Relax on our stylish comfy sofas with a bottle of complimentary Prosecco in front of the wood burner. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped handmade kitchen. Wake up to egyptian cotton bed linen, a dinner plate shower or big bath, fluffy towels and a nespresso coffee machine. There is a lovely enclosed garden to eat out in during the summer, and it’s deliciously cosy in the winter. You’ll find lots of little extras to make you feel at home, including Netflix on your smart tv, board games and toys, a brilliant selection of books and a proper homemade Cornish cream tea on arrival. This a place to kick back, unwind and treat yourself, while you explore all the magical things Cornwall has to offer. And if you bring your kids or your pooch (we accept just one dog at no extra charge and they will love you for it as the walks nearby are truly wonderful) we will look after them as well as we look after you! It’s all yours - spacious living room with lovely window seat, eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms (one double one twin), bathroom with shower over bath, big utility/boot room, enclosed garden. We live nearby and can pop down if you need us. You can message me with any questions and we will leave you heaps of tips on things to do and places to visit. But you can let yourselves in and have total privacy. The area around the Helford river is a very special place away from the crowds and stuck in time - yet within easy access of the Lizard, St Ives, Lands End and everywhere you might want to explore in Cornwall. It’s definitely handy to have a car in Cornwall, but you can walk to lots of lovely places - including Maenporth beach - from the door. You can catch a bus into Falmouth from opposite the property. There is space to park two cars on the road right outside the back gate. April 23rd to October bookings are by the week, Friday to Friday
