Small stonehouse, great place
A small comfortable, romantic stone house in a tiny private country village dating back to the 13th Century, surrounded by 124 acres of fields and woods. Wonderful view of the hills and countryside. Swimming pool. Huge garden. To get to the property you need to drive through about 600 meters dirt road (unpaved). The house is tiny but well designed. There is a comfortable living room, a separate kitchen and a bathroom. A stair connects the living room to the bedroom, situated on the mezzanine. A wide panoramic terrace, in the good season doubles the space and offers a magnificent view on the countryside. You have access to the house and to the terrace in front of the house, to the garden and (from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) to my private swimming pool. In season, ask the keeper for some fresh bio vegetables from the vegetable garden, or for some grapes from the old vineyard, or pick a juicy fruit directly from the tree. We keep the pool open normally on sunny days of April and October, and every day from May to September. The water is warm enough for swimming from mid-June to about the end of September. Orso and Violeta are resident keepers, and you can refer to them daily. Orso speaks Italian, some French, some German, and even if you speak in English he will be able to interact with you. I am often but not always at La Costa. If I am there, I will be happy to meet you. This private village is very old and tiny (only five buildings, including the resident keepers' home and my home, the first one to be built, as a watch tower, in the 13th Century). Wonderful view on the surrounding valleys and the Pianura Padana. On clear days you can see the Alps. Less than one and a half hour by car from Milan and just forty minutes from Piacenza. A free parking is available to guests. Nearby you can go for great walks, bike and horse ride, or you can play golf: two golf courses within 15 and 20 minutes drive. - For home cleaning during longer stays, please make direct arrangements with Orso and Violeta. - Two mountain bikes are available for free. A BBQ is available for free. - On the dirt road, please go slowly and use a low gear ( first or second gear) otherwise le wheels will slip. If you use a low gear and climb slowly you will have no problem, unless you are driving a very low car like a Ferrari.
