Peaceful hideaway within reach of adventure
Situated a stone's throw from one of the most picturesque racecourses in the country, The Nook is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day spent exploring. Furnished with all home comforts and your own private garden, you can simply savour the peace, or venture out to nearby Whitchurch or Chester for a spot of sightseeing and lunch. Alternatively why not take a walk to spot some wildlife along the River Dee. A welcome hamper is included and we're just next door if you need anything. Tucked away in the grounds of our farmhouse with private land, The Nook is a self-contained newly renovated annexe with its own garden and outdoor seating areas. Finished to a high standard, this one-bedroom property is ideal for a couple looking to enjoy a relaxing rural retreat, within easy reach of Cheshire, Shropshire and Wales. Parking is available in our large driveway, and the property is accessed through a courtyard into the pretty private garden, with a small step up to the front door. A wooden floored hallway leads through to the open plan living area which features large patio doors looking out onto a private decking area with views of the hills beyond. The well-equipped kitchen with welcome hamper offers all you need to start your stay, however we are just next door should you need anything extra, or have any questions about days out or the local area. Off the hallway is a clean and modern bathroom with a large step-in shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail. The double bedroom is warm and comfortable with anti-allergy mattress and bedding and extra blankets should you need them. Guests have The Nook to themselves as well as a private garden and parking. We are just next door should you need anything at all during your stay. Bangor on Dee centre with its two pubs, village shop and beautiful church is within walking distance just down the hill and there are many wonderful country walks on the doorstep, many of them taking in the stunning River Dee. Bangor on Dee racecourse is just at the bottom of the hill – a half hour walk or a five minute drive. Our farm is home to two friendly dogs, a cat and some chickens, as well as three horses. For this reason, we unfortunately cannot accommodate your own dog at this time. The Nook is the perfect retreat to get away from it all and a well-located base from which to explore and enjoy the huge variety of attractions nearby. There are plenty of walks locally however you will need a car to explore further afield. The welcome hamper contains basics for breakfast for the first day as well as a treat or two! The fridge will be stocked with the usual supplies - milk, butter etc.
