Forest Way Farm Tiny House

What was once our tiny family home now sits on a little farm for you to enjoy, looking over the orchard and forest. Your own driveway will lead you out to the little house, past our private residence, vegetable garden and orchard. You can rest on the deck, lay on the grass or soak in the tub. With no WiFi or TV you can disconnect for a while and let the surrounds recharge you. Wander in the vege garden and orchard, take yourself out into the forest or explore the Yarra Valley. We built this house with our own hands using new and used materials and although small, the tiny house has everything you need. A warm shower, a cosy loft with a queen size bed and plenty of space to lounge inside and out. The water and toilet subscribe to sustainable ecological principles. The toilet is a composting toilet, meaning no water is used, everything is covered in the sawdust or mulch provided, and the water from the tiny house is filtered through our 3 teir grey water system consisting of a worm bed, a reed bed and a settling bed before being distributed onto our young fruit trees. Toolangi is a small farming community nestled in the Toolangi Forest, an hours drive from Melbourne. There a no shops in the township so make sure you grab what you need on the way up. The nearest towns are Healesville, Yarra Glen, Kinglake and Yea and are all but a short drive away. Located on the edge of the Yarra Valley, you can have your choice of delicious coffee, food and wine. Grab a coffee at The Mare Coffee Co in Healesville, enjoy lunch and the museum at Tarrawarra Estate or dinner at Heartswood in Yarra Glen.
