Luxury Glamping Pods (pet friendly), Mawgan Porth
The Travellers Rest situated on the North Cornish coast between Watergate bay and Mawgan Porth provides luxury glamping pods set overlooking the coast. Situated in a field opposite this award winning traditional Cornish pub, you can relax surrounded by nature, whilst enjoying all the modern comforts provided in the pod. Relax in front of the communal fire pit under the stars, whilst listening to the sounds of nature and the waves crashing against the cliffs. What is Glamping? Glamping or 'glamorous camping' is a step up from traditional tent camping and usually involves staying in a small self contained accommodation with focus on creature comforts like a full sized bed. Glamping usually takes place on specific sites or in set locations and tends to focus on getting back to nature. Our cozy glamping pods have underfloor heating and ensuite shower rooms, a full sized double bed with under bed storage, a sofa which folds out into a double bed and a table and 4 chairs for dining. They also include a small kitchenette that includes a combination Microwave, toaster and kettle and an under counter fridge. The pods are not big enough for a fully fitted kitchen and therefore there is no hob, oven or freezer in any of the pods. We provide a small BBQ. Towels and Bedding: Please remember to bring towels, pillows, duvets and covers for these with you. We provide a fitted bedsheet, for all beds requiring use. We strongly advise booking if you would like to dine in the pub as we do get incredibly busy. You can book online via our website Travellers Rest Cornwall or please message us and we can assist you with booking a table. Our outdoor dining at the Filly, Box and Barn located on the field with the pods serving cakes, cream teas, hot drinks, alcoholic drinks and woodfired pizzas. Should you be looking for an energetic break, surfing hire and coaching is available locally as well as many other coastal activities including coasteering. The south west coastal path pretty much passes our front door with walking available any time of year, and dogs are permitted on the north coast beaches. Restaurants, bars, groceries and ten pin bowling can also be found in the immediate neighbourhood. Out of the spring and summer season, it can get pretty windy and wet, we would recommend good walking shoes and waterproofs. You can however warm yourself up in front of our log burner in the pub after a blustery day on the coast path or exploring our wonderful county.
