Located on 125 acres in the Central Italian hills, Casa Caponetti is a fully organic olive oil and vegetable farm where you can sleep, eat and live the good life. At only an hour's drive from Rome, our guest suites are a perfect place to relax! The farm is located in the Tuscania Nature Reserve and features a 4 kilometer trail that runs through Etruscan ruins from over 2,000 years ago. This is a one of a kind property where history and innovation combine to give you an incredible holiday. Each of the private guest rooms has a double bed, full bathroom with multi-jet shower, and a terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Reservations include breakfast in our main house, prepared by our resident chef and using ingredients found on the farm or from other local producers. There is also a restaurant on the property offering seasonal menus designed around the harvest in the gardens and pasture. Guests have access to all of the grounds surrounding the guest house, and tours are available to give a sense of the centuries of history that make this place so special. There is a main guest lounge with WiFi access, and lots of seating to have a drink, relax and unwind. Everyone is welcoming and encouraged to walk around the property at their leisure and visit the cows, pigs and horses in the fields. Staff is on hand seven days a week, from 08:00-20:00 and is available to answer any questions or assist in any aspect of your stay. We can also organize tours of the property and surrounding area, for which our staff are fully qualified to act as guides. Located 2kms from Tuscania, and 80kms from Rome, we are conveniently located near all amenities while maintaining a secluded space in the country. Guests can also experience the thermal baths in nearby Viterbo (20kms) or the seaside in Tarquinia (25kms) both of which are a short ride away. Public transport is somewhat infrequent in Tuscania as it is a smaller town, and we recommend that guests arriving have their own transportation. As there is a great deal to see in the region, having a car is the ideal mode of transport. However, we can arrange a pickup for guests arriving by train in Tarquinia if necessary. We can also arrange for a masseuse to come to the property and give shaitsu or traditional massages in the garden overlooking the valley.
