Studio apt, peaceful location, close to amenities

The Studio at Les Tachats is located in a peaceful valley with views of the countryside and of the Chateau at Hautefort. Les Tachats has three Gites with private terraces and a swimming pool. It is located within easy reach of the many attractions in the Dordogne and is just a short walk from local amenities such as bars, restaurants, supermarket etc. The studio is ideal for a couple, but also for couples with a young family. Please note that the apartment has some low beams. The location of Les Tachats adds enormously to it's charm. Set in award winning gardens and surrounded by countryside, it is only a few minutes walk over a small bridge and through a tree line to reach the sister villages of Hautefort and St Agnan. Here you will find bars, restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket and more. Les Tachats has a two acre English style garden which guests are welcome to wander. It includes a swimming pool and paddling pool, surrounded by a sun deck with sun loungers and a play area for the children, with swings, trampoline and sandpit. We live on site at Les Tachats, therefore are always available should our guests need assistance with anything and it is always a pleasure to meet people. We do however maintain a discreet distance should our guests require privacy. We are situated in the prestigious village of Hautefort, at the centre of which is the very well known Château d'Hautefort. Nearby we have lakes, beaches, rivers, caves, markets and many beautiful market towns, historic, even prehistoric visitor sites. A car is by far the best way to get around the greater area, with the relatively quiet roads being a pleasure to drive on and parking is available at Les Tachats. It is possible however to get around the local area on foot, meaning that it is possible to go out for lunch or dinner and have a glass or two of wine without having to worry about driving.
