Lochside Lodge, Dornie, West Highlands, Scotland

Lochside Lodge is a spacious glass fronted house for up to 8 people + small kids. It overlooks a sea-loch and is just outside the highland village of Dornie not far from the Isle of Skye Lochside has 4 bedrooms, including 3 flexible rooms which can be set up as either twin rooms or super kingsize. The dining area sits 8-10 people comfortably, and there is plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge. The house is light and spacious and also has a games area with table football. The kitchen is compact and has everything you need on holiday. There is "fibre to the home" wiFi, with sufficient bandwidth for streaming video on a number of devices at the same time. TV has access to 20+ off-air channels plus free streaming channels like i-Player and ITV player, you can also access premium channels like Netflix and Prime which you already subscribe to. Guests have exclusive use of the whole house and there is a garden area to the front big enough to play football ! We are happy to welcome a maximum of 2 pets at Lochside Lodge, however we must know about this in advance, guests must agree to adhere to our "house rules" for pets, and we make a 1-off charge per pet of £20 which is paid directly to our changeover and cleaning team. I live some distance away from Lochside, but guests can contact my Co-Host and Caretaker Yvonne who lives close by if there are any problems or questions. Our "neighbourhood" is the spectacular West Highlands of Scotland, only 10 miles from the Isle of Skye. Although the house seems remote when you are there, in reality it is less than 1 mile from the friendly village centre with a shop, pub, and hotel with public bar. Just past the village is the world-famous Eilean Donan Castle. Lochside is about 15 minutes' walk from the nearest bus stop. You can catch buses to Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Portree in Skye. A car is pretty essential to make the most of your stay though, and there is ample parking right at the door of the house.
