Pretty studio in the heart of Saint-Claude

Cozy studio in the historic center of Saint-Claude, perfect to discover the beautiful Jura mountains and its footpaths, hiking trails, lakes and waterfalls. It is fully equipped and decorated with care. It is located on a small street next to all the shops and museums, with everything you need for a perfect (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable queen size bed (160cm) and a sofa which can turn into another bed (112cm, suitable for 1 adult or 2 children). Equipped kitchen with coffee and tea. Private bathroom with shower. To access the studio you will go up one flight of stairs, so it is not ideal for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility. These outdoor stairs are currently being renovated and not fully finished/decorated (unlike the interior space.) Please note the main street of Saint Claude is undergoing construction until June 30th (not our street). Since I live just one floor above the studio, I will be available to welcome you and answer your questions during your stay. I will be happy to give you advice on possible visits (museums, hikes, cycle routes...) Our street is near the cathedral, with a children's playground right in front of it. We are also next to the marketplace (farmer's market every Saturday morning, and artisan market and street food every Thursday evening in summer), and we're only a minute away from all the shops (bakery, local products, food, clothes, bookstore, souvenirs etc). Also nearby are the "Maison Du Peuple" cinema and cultural center, Museums (art and history at the "Musée de l'Abbaye", artisan history at the "Musée de la Pipe et du Diamant"). We are next to a beautifully designed library. There is a train station in Saint-Claude with links to Lyon, Bourg-en-Bresse, and the scenic "Ligne des hirondelles" to Morez, Saint-Laurent and Dole. We are about 1h15min from Geneva airport by car (enquire with me about possible airport pick up). With a car you will be able to explore the area, lakes, waterfalls, hiking trails and nearby towns and villages. A few walks are accessible directly from town, such as the "Belvédère de l'Ermitage" and several waterfalls, as well as an outdoor swimming pool in the summer. We will leave brochures and guidebooks at your disposal. Strollers, skis, or bikes can be left in a locked storage room under the stairs on the ground floor.
