Elegant loft studio with panoramic valley views

Perched on the slopes of its own 4 acre wooded valley, QBV is a traditional Portuguese smallholding now fully renovated. Tasteful traditional Portuguese combines with modern well equipped amenities resulting in a stylish unique holiday base. QBV is all about the details where nothing is overlooked. A comfortable and relaxing central base for the Silver Coast attractions. The Adriatic (we held back from calling it the AdriATTIC) is the fully converted upper floor of the original farm house at Quinta Do Bom Vento accessed by its own private external stairway. The open plan studio design of 30m2 has a separate private bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette then a queen sized bed with small dining and dressing tables and open hanging wardrobe with shelves. 2 comfortable chairs allow you to take in the stunning valley views through the floor to ceiling windows on the rare occasions you aren't out on your elevated private tiled terrace sunbathing or having a bbq. A glass wind break ensures that you can enjoy this space even if the village of Bom Vento (Good Wind) is living up to its name. There are a total of 5 separate accommodations at QBV, all fully converted from their original farm use. All can be accessed via a spacious inner courtyard and all have their own entrances, private outdoor spaces giving plenty of freedom as well as privacy. There are gardens and 4 1/2 acres of wooded valley for stretching the legs and these lead to more trails if you want to extend your hike without leaving QBV. We live in one of the converted barns so are available for answering any questions to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We used to work in the hospitality industry aboard luxury yachts so we have lots of experience of understanding when people want company or peace. We feel QBV is an ideal spot as your home from home for exploring the delights of the Silver Coast. The hamlet of Bom Vento is only 7km from Obidos, one of Portugual's most famous tourist towns. We are however also only 10 minutes away from a lesser known gem - Buddha Eden, which is Europe's largest oriental garden. Within 25 mins from QBV you have a choice of surfing at world class surf spots such as Supertubos, golfing at Prai D'El Rey, SUP at Obidos Lagoon, beach walks at Foz do Arelho or Sao Martinho do Porto. Alcobaca with its UNESCO Monastery, and the monster waves of Nazare are 35 mins from home. So loads of options for day trips but then the added pleasure of being able to really relax in a truly comfortable private space of your own and make dinner like you would in your own home on return to the peace of QBV. You definitely need a car to maximise your stay at QBV. We really feel it works as a fab base for exploring the Silver Coast and beyond. However when we go down to Lisbon rather than the hassle of the car and parking we take advantage of the regular bus service from either Obidos or Bombarral (direct and only 7 euros each way) Knowing how frustrating it can be renting rural properties and arriving to an empty fridge and cupboards, we provide an extensive starter pack including milk, butter, cold meats, cheese, bread, fruit, tea, coffee, wine and beer along with essentials such as washing up liquid, paper towels, oils and vinegars. etc. Recognising the ever restrictive luggage allowances on flights we also provide toiletries and beach towels. We also have 2 rescue dogs - Scrabble and Bingo. Both are overly friendly black lab crosses - one more retriever, the other more a pointer. They are not roaming freely on the property, but are not averse to joining you on your walks if you want them to go too!
