Amazing 2 bed flat with stunning countryside views

For your stay in Somerset we have available our spacious two bedroom, second floor South-South West facing flat (please note, there are 3 short flights of stairs to climb) with a stunning view over Wincanton and the surrounding area. Within minutes from the A303 we can accommodate up to 6 or 7 guests with one king size and one double bed, a double sofa bed and a large comfy couch. Alongside the bedrooms and large living room / dining area you will have use of a fully equipped kitchen and family bathroom with a bath, decent shower, gas central heating, and FreeSat TV. All bedding, towels and usual amenities are supplied, but let us know any special requirements you may have to help us make your stay perfect :) We are also local to the area, just a few minutes away and available to help in any way if needed. Wincanton (twinned with Ankh-Morpork, a city state near the Circle Sea on Terry Pratchett's Discworld) is a vibrant market town, ideally located just off the A303 in South Somerset, a 20 minute drive from Yeovil, 30 minutes from Longleat and an hour from Weymouth, Durdle Door, Bath and Bristol. We are also just a 10-15 minute drive from the famous Haynes Motor Museum, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Cadbury Castle, Glastonbury Tor and several local wedding venues such as Holbrook Manor and Durslade Farm/Hauser & Wirth in Bruton. More locally, the property is situated less than 15 minutes walk from the high street which mainly features independent businesses including a selection of fantastic coffee shops, bakeries, pubs (our favourite being The Nog on South Street), an amazing Tandoori, various takeaways and supermarkets including Morrisons, Lidl and Co-Op. The main high street is walkable in under 15 minutes through the park and church yard (which you can see from the bedrooms :) and is serviced by a convenient 2 hour direct coach service from London Hammersmith stopping off at the Memorial Car Park in the town centre (search for Berrys Superfast). Buses run regularly to the surrounding areas and there are 4 train stations in the nearby towns of Bruton, Castle Cary, Gillingham (Dorset) and Templecombe to explore further afield. If walking and cycling is your thing then you won't be disappointed with miles of unspoilt countryside dotted with incredible old villages and local architecture (check out King Alfred's Tower approx 7 miles/50 mins bike ride north of Wincanton!). We are Electric Vehicle friendly and you are welcome to use our Type 2 home charger located at our home a few minutes away from this property.
