Room 1. Rustic room for a charming Dartmoor stay
A lovely, en-suite room in an old, granite town house in the centre of Chagford. The room is above our rustic cafe, and presents the perfect opportunity for those looking for something a little different. Get involved with creative workshops or eat delicious, healthy food in our cafe, soak up the vibe in Chagford, or explore the wilds of Dartmoor. We offer a comfortable, relaxing stay with a welcoming and amiable live-in host. Come and go as you please, and enjoy the atmosphere! We are open during the day time as a cafe, and on Friday and Saturday evenings as a bar / restaurant serving drinks and evening meals. We also sometimes have live acoustic music on these nights. We are fully licensed and operate under standard pub opening hours. Please be advised that we are in an old building and sound can travel. Room 1 has two single beds that can be used either together or apart. Room 2 has a standard double bed. Guests have access to their own room through the cafe downstairs. A key to the main front door and their bedroom will be provided, so that they can come and go as they please. The business owner and host, Matt, lives in the apartment on the top floor of the property. He is available throughout your stay, and when he's not in the property he won't be far away, to tend to any of your needs. Chagford, often referred to as 'the jewel of Dartmoor', lies within the National Park, and is within easy reach of the seaside as well as Okehampton and Exeter. Chagford is a charming and happy small town that boasts a 13th century church, a variety of pubs, eateries and shops, and is the perfect spot for wandering off onto the moor for a hike. There is a bus service that runs to Exeter and Okehampton a few times a day, except Sundays.
