Nestled in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean, Pear Tree Cottage is an original semi detached miners cottage which has been sympathetically renovated to offer a comfortable, cosy and secluded hideaway. The cottage is tucked away and backs onto forestry tracks, providing a perfect cycling and walking holiday spot. It is close to the Wye Valley and its beautiful attractions, the towns of Monmouth, Chepstow, Lydney and Ross-on-Wye are all within easy reach. An original and unique stone-built miner's cottage. Ideal as a getaway for those looking to recharge and relax in the breathtaking area of the Royal Forest of Dean. The cottage is quirky and stylishly decorated. It also has a wood-burner perfect for those cosy nights in. The kitchen is light and airy and has Nordic feel . The gate leads to steps which gives you direct access on to the endless forestry tracks, perfect for cycling and walking. The property is not the easiest to find, due to its tucked away location. Please note that parking is about 50 metres from the cottage, and the walk to there includes quite steep steps. Upon booking, guests will be given detailed access information. Guests have full and exclusive use of the cottage and garden, and direct access to forestry tracks through the back gate. Guests have use of a shed which is perfect for bike storage I will be on hand at anytime to assist you with anything that you need. I live 15 mins away so am nearby if needed. I can be reached by phone or email, however if we are not needed you wil be totally left alone to enjoy our lovely cottage. Pillowell is a friendly and quaint village, on the doorstep of beautiful scenery. There are village shops within a mile or so in Yorkley and Bream . Travelling around here is best done by car, bike or foot
