The Coach House, West Kington (Near Bath)

PLEASE SEND AN ENQUIRY BEFORE BOOKING. The Coach House has been beautifully renovated and sits on a private estate in a rural idyllic village just 20 minutes from Bath. It features a generous open plan living space and two luxury ensuite double bedrooms. It has its own walled garden and a perfect area for al fresco dining. The house is a wonderful retreat in which to relax, with log fires, thickly woven rugs and pure cotton sheets. Delicious complimentary basket of Bath local produce on arrival. A large, open plan kitchen space with stable style door onto the outside dining area for al fresco dining. Here you will also find a door to the beautiful walled white flower garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with wine cellars, steam oven, large fridges, Jura coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and commercial range with extractor. The Sitting Room with two large comfortable sofas, an open fire (one basket of wood supplied). Adjacent to this is an open plan dining room and kitchen leading to the outside space. Upstairs, are two large bedrooms and two ensuite bathrooms. The house and garden provide a true, authentic country home experience. The space - over two floors: Kitchen/dining area. Sitting room with TV & DVD & open fire. Laundry Room. Large porch area for boots etc. Downstairs WC. First floor master bedroom with kingsize bed and a lovely quiet sofa area for book reading. Ensuite master bathroom with bath, separate walk-in shower, washbasins & WC. Second bedroom with kingsize bed (can be changed to 2 singles if requested) with ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, washbasin & WC. A beautiful desk for working which looks out on the amazing horse stables (no longer housing horses). There is plenty of parking outside the front of the house and it is in a rural setting. Great for getting away from it all. Our family live in a separate house on the estate but far enough away from The Coach House to give good privacy. Keys for the house will be given in person on your arrival. We respect your privacy but will always be available on the phone if needed. There are some wonderful walks especially a walk to Castle Combe (40 minutes). Castle Combe is a quintessentially English Village often named as the 'prettiest village in England'. Castle Combe has featured regularly as a film location, most recently in The Wolf Man and War Horse. The Village has a rich history and the houses are made up of the honey coloured Cotswold Stone, typical for a village of this area. Within Castle Combe you will find a Market Cross and St Andrew's Church which dates from the 13th century. The church houses a faceless clock which is reputed to be one of the oldest clocks in the country. You will also find a couple of pubs and a luxury hotel with a golf course within the village. Stroll along the village to the bridge and you will not only enjoy the views but may be able to purchase homemade cakes, sweets or bunches of flowers from outside the locals' houses. Stop at the bottom of the village by the bridge and enjoy a great photographic moment too! There are lots of lovely walking routes around the area. Details of these are supplied in a lovely book with the Coach House. Also ideal location for cycling if you bring your own bikes. We are very close to Junction 17 and 18 off the M4. We are about 20 minutes to the historic town of Bath and similar distance to Bristol which is ideal for shopping and sight seeing. The nearest train station is Bath or Chippenham providing direct routes to London. I recommend having a car if you come and stay. This is a lovely cottage no more than 20 minutes from Bath but is in a rural/small idyllic country village and as such it is down small country lanes. Phone service can be intermittent. We recommend all guests use WiFi calling when at the property or make use of the internet.
