The Flower House - a quiet Cornish retreat

We’d love to welcome you to our romantic retreat, situated on an ancient bridleway, 20 yards from the Marazion/St Ives Tinners’ Way. I manage the property for my mother and father in-law, Jean and Rob, who have lived in the main house for 40 years. Between us we will be happy to help in any way we can to make your stay a memorable one! 7 night bookings only, Saturday changeover. Cosy kitchen and lounge with log burner, sofa and television. WiFi. Conservatory area with dining table and views across the fields, with doors to outside space with table and chairs for alfresco dining, on those warmer days! One step down from lounge leads into the double bedroom and bathroom. The Flower House is located along a quiet ancient bridleway, just off the A30. It is perfectly located for exploring many of the beautiful beaches and towns of the region. St Ives is a 15 minute drive or St Erth train station is walkable (15mins) and you can get the lovely, scenic train into the picturesque harbour town. St Michaels Mount, Marazion is a 10 minute drive and the quirky and characterful streets of Penzance is just a bit further along the coast. Originally, it was part of a small holding. The bedroom was the calves house and the bathroom was where the dairy. The living room was where violets, pinks and anenomes were packed for Covent Garden. The lane was used by tin miners to take the tin from Ding Dong to Hayle for smelting. Guests have access to parking on the drive and the entire space within The Flower House including the courtyard area at the back of the conservatory. Both myself and the owners, living in the main house, will be happy to talk to guests and help them with whatever they need, this would be at a safe distance of over the phone. From the front door you can walk to Trencrom Hill and some footpaths also join up to the St Michaels Way. The Flower House is 20 yards from the Marazion/St Ives Tinners’ Way. It is a peaceful area surrounded by nature, woods and streams. The stars are extremely visible on clear nights. Car is recommended but the lane is walkable and along the A30 you can pick up buses and trains to most areas.
