Perfect for romantic breaks , cycling , walking and the shooting .Great places to visit ,Marlborough , Salisbury, Hungerford, Stone henge Hot tub in use all year round Perfect for couples to hideaway on a weekend retreat or individuals who enjoy the local shooting, riding or many local activities. Also perfect for a girls night away . Lovely local pubs within walking distance . The wonderful market town of Marlborough is a short drive away with a great selection of restaurants ,shops and bars ,Rick Steins is worth a visit but book ahead.Hungerford is worth a visit , lovely shops and canal (Website hidden by Airbnb) much to see and do locally , plenty of local walks , dogs welcome Or just relax and unwind in the hot tub.. The cottage is 400 years old so ceilings are low .Please note the woodburner heater is electric The cottage is completely self contained, and secluded with parking for two cars on the drive. If not please enjoy complete isolation Collingbourne Ducis is a village and civil parish on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, about 10 miles (16 km) south of Marlborough. It is one of several villages on the River Bourne which is a seasonal river, usually dry in summer. The parish includes the hamlets of Cadley and Sunton. The cottage is in beautiful Sunton which has picturesque thatched cottages and pretty walks , beautiful at anytime of the year. The village has a local shop and post office , The Shears is a ten minute walk situated on the Cadley road and offers good food .The Barleycorn pub is very welcoming and has good food . Gastro Nick's is a deli in the village and offer a good selection of fish, local produce and good wines . check their website for pizzas , you need to pre order .Bath , Salisbury and Winchester are a drive away . Not forgetting Stone Henge and Longleat . A great location to explore. A car is highly recommended . Buses are available and there are many local taxi firms but booking ahead is recommended. The nearest train station is Andover around 20 minutes drive away . Pewsey and Great Bedwyn are also a short drive away . We offer a complimentary welcome pack such as eggs, bacon , sausages , milk and tea ,coffee for one days breakfast. We supply two Bath and hand towels . You may wish to bring towels for the hot tub and flip flops.
